While World Extreme Cagefighting officials have already declared rising
star Anthony Pettis the likely next challenger to Ben Henderson’s lightweight
title, a planned WEC 52 bout may have a large say in who’s right behind.
MMAjunkie.com has learned from sources close to the
fighters that Bart Palaszewski and Kamal Shalorus have verbally agreed to meet at the event, though
bout agreements have yet to be finalized.
While not yet officially announced by the organization, WEC 52 is
expected to take place Nov. 11 at The Pearl at the Palms Casino Resort
in Las Vegas.
