CM Punk may be getting the headlines for his Octagon debut against Mickey Gall — which is set to go down at UFC 203 on Sept. 10 from the Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, Ohio — but he isn’t get much love from the bookies.
That’s because the former WWE superstar has been pegged as the betting underdog when he faces Gall at the upcoming pay-per-view (PPV) event in “The Land” (more on that here).
The current line is set at -300 for Gall and +265 for Punk, according to Bovada via FOX Sports.
And it’s probably not to anyone’s surprise, either, as no one other than his current training partners, has seen what Punk can do inside the cage. As for Gall, while there isn’t much tape on him, he does have a first-round submission win over Mike Jackson, which he scored at UFC Fight Night 82 earlier this year.
Still, he’s more than confident he can get the win in the very first round.
