The game of hot potato that is currently being played with the women’s bantamweight title continues.

We now have a new 135-pound queen in the UFC, and her name is Amanda Nunes. Nunes completely ran through the now-former champion Miesha Tate in their main event clash at UFC 200, as Nunes’ superior stand-up game and power proved to be too much for Tate to handle, who had only won the title four months before against Holly Holm.

Holm, a highly decorated women’s kickboxing champion, was the first woman to ever defeat the formerly invincible Ronda Rousey, when the pair met for a title bout at UFC 193 in Melbourne, Australia in November of last year.

Rousey has kept away form the public eye for the most part since her loss, and has been rumored for an Octagon return sometime later this year or in the beginning of 2017.

UFC President Dana White remained adamant following Rousey’s loss that ‘Rowdy’ would be granted an immediate title shot upon her return, and that’s not changing due to the fact that two other women have held the belt other than Holm.

In a recent interview with FS1, courtesy of FOX Sports, White stated that Rousey will have to make a decision on her fighting career soon and if she wants to be the first woman to get a shot at Nunes, it’s all hers:

“Ronda’s going to make that decision,” White said. “I would like to see her fight this year, but it could be early next year, too. Whoever the champion is at the time is who Ronda will fight.

If Ronda comes back, Ronda will get the shot. We’ll see what happens with Holly Holm in her next fight, she’s fighting on FOX. It’s all good stuff,” White said.

Who do you think is deserving of the first shot at the new Brazilian champ, and will we ever see Rousey compete inside the Octagon again?
