Ana Julaton and Heather Hardy are set to fight each other in both MMA and boxing.

Boxing stars turned MMA-competitors in Heather Hardy and Ana Julaton have brokered a pretty unique deal with Bellator and their promoters from the Sweet Science.

The pair of MMA flyweights will be competing as part of the main card of Bellator 194 on February 16. Win, lose, or draw, both will eventually be moving from the cage to the ring as they compete under boxing rules on a later date.

The news was first reported by MMA Fighting.

The two-sport deal will see Bellator co-promote with Julaton and Hardy’s boxing promoters in Allan Tremblay and Lou Dibella respectively.

After their mixed martial arts bout next month, sources close to the situation have informed Bloody Elbow that they will be looking to book a 10-round boxing match as soon as both fighters are medically cleared and ready.

Financials on the contest will be pretty standard for both sports. Hardy and Julaton will continue with their agreed payouts from their Bellator contract for the MMA contest, while the other will be done on traditional boxing fashion with revenue sharing between the fighters and promoters involved.

Julaton is 14-4-3 in boxing, and the Filipino-American is a former WBO and IBA Super Bantamweight world champion. Hardy, on the other hand, is 20-0 as a boxer and currently holds the WBC international featherweight title.

Both fighters competed on the same card at Bellator 185, with both women taking losses on their last MMA bouts. Julaton dropped a split decision, while Hardy fell by a 2nd round doctor’s stoppage.

Bellator 194 will be headlined by a heavyweight grand prix tournament bout, a rematch between Matt Mitrione and Roy Nelson.
