A report from Ariel Helwani at Versus.com has UFC welterweight Matt Riddle (5-2) pulling out of his upcoming UFC on Versus 3 (aka UFC Live: Sanchez vs. Kampmann) bout with Matt Brown (11-10). Riddle reportedly injured his right hand while training.
Riddle was tapped as a replacement a week ago for Mark Scanlon who also pulled out of the event due to an injury. No replacement was named by Helwani.
Brown in fact has lost three in a row in the UFC and is in a must win situation if he wants to stay in the UFC, while Riddle had a two fight win streak stopped by Sean Pierson at UFC 124.
The UFC Live: Sanchez vs. Kampmann takes place on March 3rd at the KFC Yum! Center in Louisville, Kentucky with the main event being broadcast on Versus.
