The legal wheels are still in motion to arrest Donny Aaron, husband of Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) women’s Flyweight contender Andrea Lee, who allegedly assaulted “KGB” a few days ago in their home.
Reading the disturbing and horrific details here, which includes reports of Donny allegedly trying to burn Andrea and choke her, as well.
According to a report by MMA Junkie, police officials in Shreveport, Louisiana are awaiting a judges signature to proceed with the warrant issued for Donny’s arrest. Aaron is still missing in action and police officials have yet to talk to him.
In a brief statement issued to MMA Junkie, Andrea says the alleged domestic violence case won’t affect her mixed martial arts (MMA) career moving forward.
“I’m not going to talk about it right now,” she said. “I’m trying to move forward with things for my family. It’s not going to affect my UFC career.”
This isn’t the first time Donny has been in the news for the wrong reasons, as earlier this year he made headlines thanks to his Nazi tattoos.
Donny and Andrea have been married for five years. And according to pro fighter Andy Nguyen — who called police while the incident was occurring — it’s not the first time Donny has been physically abusive with “KGB.”
Furthermore, Donny — an ex-police officer — was previously arrested for aggravated assault on his ex-girlfriend. During that time, he was in the midst of a murder trial, in which he was ultimately sent to prison for negligent homicide on an unarmed black man after shooting him 11 times 13 years ago.
Lee won her UFC debut by defeating Veronica Macedo at UFC Fight Night 129 this past May.
