The grudge match between Artem Lobov and Paulie Malignaggi at Bare Knuckle FC 6 has been moved from New Hampshire to Tampa.
Last April, it was first announced that the grudge match between Paulie Malignaggi and Artem Lobov will be taking place in New Hampshire on June 22nd at Bare Knuckle FC 6. The fight will still go on as planned, but is now set for a different venue.
As noted on the official Bare Knuckle FC website, the event has been moved to Tampa, Florida, but the exact venue has yet to be finalized. It will be the promotion’s first event in the said state after holding events in Mississippi, Mexico, and Wyoming, where its debut card was held in June 2018.
The bad blood between Malignaggi and Lobov intensified last month, when an altercation arose during a BKFC media event. As seen on video, the two got in each other’s faces which eventually led to Malignaggi slapping Lobov, and nearly inciting a brawl.
“Magic Man” retired from professional boxing in 2017, and has since been focused on broadcast duties. “The Russian Hammer”, meanwhile, was released from the UFC in late January, racking up a 2-5 record with the company.
Also part of the BKFC 6 card is TUF 1 alum Chris Leben, who is slated to face ex-Bellator fighter Brennan Ward.
