Strikeforce Women’s Welterweight champion Marloes Coenen (19-4) pulled the come from behind victory to earn the submission victory over Liz Carmouche in the co-main event of the Columbus, Ohio event. Coenen was dominated in the second and third rounds, but pulled off a triangle submission in the fourth round to retain her title. In her post fight interviews, Coenen says she wasn’t worried about Carmouche’s punches when compared to being hit by Women’s Middleweight champ Cristiane “Cyborg” Santos one year ago.
