Melvin Guillard is back fighting again, but not in a cage or in a ring… again.
Be wary if Melvin Guillard is bouncing a bar in your neck of the woods.
The former UFC fighter was reportedly working as a bouncer at Ginn Mill in Denver back in June 15, 2018 when he got into an altercation with a man outside the establishment. TMZ released new footage from last year’s incident. A man apparently approached Guillard as bouncers were removing a different patron from the bar. In the video above, the man said to be Guillard rushed the individual who approached him and flatlined him on the sidewalk.
The man was unconscious on the floor for approximately 30-seconds before other people helped him to his feet. The alleged victim suffered undisclosed injuries and pressed charges against Guillard. The former UFC fighter was arrested on felony assault charges, also pertaining to a separate brawl in Sept. 2018. He fought the case for one year before reaching a deal with prosecutors. Guillard plead guilty to one count of assault in the second degree. He received no jail time however, instead getting probation plus fines and fees.
Following this incident, Guillard was reportedly captured on camera knocking out two men at a different Colorado bar. You can view that footage below.
Guillard last competed in MMA in July 2018, suffering a first-round knockout loss to Takanori Gomi. He has not won an MMA bout since July 2014 WSOF debut vs. Gesias Cavalcante. He most recently competed in bare knuckle at BKFC 7, losing to Isaac Vallie-Flagg. It pushed Guillard’s bare knuckle record to 2-3.
