But Bellator Fighting Championships’ season-two tournament winner, who now meets champion Eddie Alvarez in the headliner of Saturday’s Bellator 39 event, said the injury actually worked in his favor.

With the extra time off, Curran said he was able to make vast improvements to his game as he readies to fight one of the world’s best 155-pound fighters.
