The last UFC event for a while shook up the rankings in a couple of divisions.
This might be the last one of these I write for a while, so I might as well make it good. The UFC ran an empty arena event in Brasilia last weekend, before Covid-19 completely shuttered their operations, and it turned out to be quite fun – at least at the top of the card. Nine straight decisions to start wasn’t amazing, but the last three bouts provided some great action, and more importantly for this post, some actual rankings movement!
Charles Oliveira picked up arguably the biggest win over his career when he finished Kevin Lee in the main event, and his seventh win in a row finally helped him break into the upper tier of the lightweight rankings. In the co-main, Gilbert Burns entered the mix at welterweight with a KO win over legend Demian Maia. So there was some upheaval in both of those divisions.
Here’s a look at all the changes for this week.
Men’s P4P – No changes.
Heavyweight – No changes.
Light Heavyweight – Nikita Krylov is up two spots to ten with his dull win over Johnny Walker. Walker falls one to 11, while Misha Cirkunov is down one to 12.

Welterweight – Stephen Thompson is up one to five. Burns climbs six big spots to six. Maia is down two to seven. Michael Chiesa, Rafael dos Anjos, and Nate Diaz are down one each to eight through ten. Geoff Neal drops two to 12. Vicente and Conor McGregor (lol) are up one each to 13 and 14. Anthony Pettis drops two to 15.
Lightweight – Oliveira is up five spots to eight. Lee drops two to ten. Edson Barboza, Diego Ferreira, and Gregor Gillespie all fall one each to 11 through 13.
Featherweight – Renato Moicano is out after his lightweight debut. Jeremy Stephens, Josh Emmett, and Calvin Kattar are all up one each to seven through nine respectively. Shane Burgos is up two spots to ten. Arnold Allen is up three spots to 12 for some reason. Sodiq Yusuff is up one to 13. Ryan Hall falls one to 14. Dan Ige cracks the rankings for the first time at 15.
Bantamweight – No changes.
