Streaking heavyweight Tanner Boser gave fight fans their first finish earlier tonight (Sat., July 25, 2020) at UFC on ESPN 14 live on ESPN/ESPN+ from inside Flash Forum on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, when the Canadian prospect toppled Brazilian counterpart Raphael Pessoa via second-round TKO (punches).
Boser had to take his time entering on the larger and heavier Pessoa but started to tag him with shots to the body and a left hook over the top. Pessoa hung in tough throughout the first round but the second proved too much. Boser landed a perfect left hand that caught the Brazilian directly on the eye. Pessoa fell to the canvas and Boser pounced on top for heavy ground-and-pound for the eventual finish.

With this performance, Boser secures his second-straight knockout finish in just the past month, as “Bulldozer” ended veteran Philipe Lins back at UFC Vegas 4. Boser has really capitalized during UFC’s recent events and the promotion should reward him later this year with another chance to increase his heavyweight stock.
