Strawweight veterans Michelle Waterson and Angela Hill will take over headlining duties for the upcoming UFC Vegas 10 main event, scheduled to go down a week from Sat. night (Sept. 12, 2020) inside APEX facility in Las Vegas, Nevada.
That’s according to ESPN.
Their five-round showdown replaces the former main event between Glover Teixeira vs. Thiago Santos, recently rescheduled after Teixeira tested positive for coronavirus. The tentative date for that light heavyweight collision is now Oct. 3, also in Las Vegas.
Waterson (17-8), who turned 34 earlier this year, is coming off back-to-back losses for just the second time in her 13-year career. “The Karate Hottie” has not seen the win column since outlasting Karolina Kowalkiewicz at UFC on ESPN 2 back in early 2019.
Hill (12-8), meanwhile, is looking to rebound from a split-decision loss to Claudia Gadelha at UFC on ESPN 8 last May, which snapped a three-fight win streak for “Overkill.” The former TUF 20 contestant, now 35, has been competing inside the Octagon for nearly six years.
