UFC 254 media day turns the attention from the fighters to the coaches and commentators for the event, including Trevor Wittman, Javier Mendez, and Daniel Cormier.
UFC 254 goes down on Saturday October 24th and is one of the biggest if not biggest card of the year for the surging fight promotion. And while promotional opportunities have been limited somewhat due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the UFC has gone out of its way to put as many people surrounding the event in front of press.
Tuesday featured a UFC 254 media day with co-mains Robert Whittaker and Jared Cannonier. Wednesday a press conference with headliners Khabib Nurmagomedov and Justin Gaethje. And this Thursday at 5AM EST they are doing a second media day with some of the coaching staff.
Join us here at 5AM as we get to hear from Justin Gaethje’s head coach Trevor Wittman, who has been instrumental in changing Gaethje from a wild brawler unafraid of damage into the calculated killer with high output but better fight IQ. And Khabib Nurmagomedov’s head coach Javier Mendez will also be answering questions on Khabib’s training camp and their preparations for this latest lightweight title defense.
Also making appearances: Commentators Daniel Cormier and Jon Anik, plus fighter turned analyst Michael Chiesa.
