Sasha Palatnikov had to walk through hell in his Octagon debut earlier tonight (Sat., Nov. 21, 2020) at UFC 255 live on ESPN+ PPV from inside UFC APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada, but the welterweight newcomer ended up finishing highly-touted prospect Louis Cosce via third-round TKO (punches).
This wasn’t an easy debut for Palatnikov as the 31-year-old was nearly finished by Cosce in the first round, but he stayed alive, powered through everything Cosce threw his way, and started to take control of the fight. After outworking Cosce in the second round Palatnikov landed a massive right hand in the third that forced Cosce to drop down for a bad takedown attempt. Palatnikov jumped on top and landed heavy punches before the referee stepped in.
