Zane Simon & Eddie Mercado are here to breakdown this Saturday’s, February 20th, ‘UFC VEGAS 19: BLAYDES VS. LEWIS’ event. The guys will have hot takes, possible next fights, as well as reactions to the overall events.

Zane Simon & Eddie Mercado are back to breakdown the ‘UFC VEGAS 19: ‘BLAYDES VS. LEWIS’ event, which was broadcast from the APEX Center, Las Vegas, Nevada. The guys will have hot takes, possible next fights, as well as reactions to the overall events in the player above, or on our Bloody Elbow Presents YouTube Channel and BE Presents Podcast Network. (SPOILERS…)

Tonight, Saturday, February 20th., 2021, in the main event of UFC VEGAS 19, we had ‘The Black Beast’, Derrick Lewis, with a remarkable 24-7 record, return to the octagon after a six month break from UFC action to take on Curtis ‘Razor’ Blaydes, with his impressive 14-2 record. These two Heavyweight contenders were set to do battle back in November, but a positive COVID-19 test at the last second removed Curtis Blaydes. Tonight the Beast basically ended him with a gnarly uppercut KO that put him to sleep, thus keeping his pre-fight promise to violently stop him. In the co-main event, we had a ladies Bantamweight clash between the vicious Russian vixen, ‘Foxy’ Yana Kunitskaya (??? ????????), who entered the octagon with a 13-5 record vs. Brazilian brawler Ketlen ‘Fenômeno’ Vieira, with her 11-1 record… the competitive Russian striker won via Decision from her back, after a very active fight.

Overall, this whittled down 12-bout card saw four swift finishes take place in Round 1, one sub, seven exciting KO/TKO – including our Main event, and four decisions. Rounding things out, bonuses for putting forth POTN efforts went to Derrick Lewis, Tom Aspinall, Chris Daukaus and Aimann Zahabi; FOTN honors went to no one, surprisingly. What a night of fights we have to share with you!

Also on the card, we had an exciting bout between rising prospect Chris Daukaus and Heavyweight veteran Aleksei Oleinik, which ended via TKO-punches in the first round. The dominant Daukaus was coming at this on a three-fight winning streak, having defeated the likes of Nascimento, Porter and Holmes. While ‘The Boa Constrictor’ was coming off a loss to one of our headliners, Derrick Lewis, just this past August, 2020. As if that’s not enough, we also had an exciting match-up on the prelims card where Julian Erosa collapsed Nate Landwehr with a first-round flying knee. Join us to discuss all the action…
