Matthew Semelsberger made good on his second Octagon appearance earlier tonight (Sat., Mar. 13, 2021) at UFC Vegas 21 live on ESPN+ from inside UFC APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada, when “Semi The Jedi” leveled welterweight counterpart Jason Witt via first-round knockout (punch).
Witt was expected to shoot as early as possible to take this fight to the ground but he decided to stand in the middle of the cage and exchange with leg kicks. Semelsberger shook off the early advancements to counter with a perfectly-placed right hand that slumped Witt and put an end to the “Prelims” opener with just 16 seconds off the clock.

This performance leaves Semelsberger on a five-fight win streak and in need of a serious opponent his next time out. The towering knockout artist has the frame and power to do some serious damage at 170 pounds so it will be interesting to see what “Semi The Jedi” can do as he climbs the welterweight ladder.
