Jorge Masvidal is now a bare-knuckle MMA promoter with his very own Gamebred Fighting Championship.

UFC “BMF” champion Jorge Masvidal doesn’t seem to be running out of business endeavors. After the launch of his own line of Mezcal in 2019, the 36-year-old Miami native has now entered the fight promotion game.

On Thursday, Masvidal took to Instagram to announce his very own Gamebred Fighting Championship, a bare-knuckle MMA promotion company. He’s teamed up with Puerto Rican rapper Anuel AA for their first event on June 25 in Miami.

Masvidal drew inspiration from his own experiences at Kimbo Slice’s backyard brawls.

“It’s just bare-knuckle. It’s what I started in,” Masvidal said during the UFC 261 pre-fight presser on Thursday in Jacksonville. “I’m just looking for the next great street fighter that wants to make it through the ranks and go all the way to professional ranks and follow the footsteps of Kimbo and me. Nothing too crazy, just pure violence.”

For now, Masvidal’s focus is on reigning welterweight champion Kamaru Usman, as they headline UFC 261. The bout takes place on Saturday, April 24 at the VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena.
