Coming in January 2012 will be the new UFC Undisputed 3 video game published by THQ.
The UFC video game franchise took a hiatus this year and during that hiatus found new ways to improve the game.
The newest installment will feature WEC fighters after the WEC and UFC merged earlier this year. The bantamweight and featherweight divisions have been added and fighters like Ben Henderson and Donald Cerrone—as well as other WEC lightweights—have been injected into the UFC’s lightweight division.
As the video shows, the game will also feature a brand new way to play. You can now finish fights via leg kick TKOs, there are even more submissions and new fight mechanics.
If you’ve wanted to unleash the Anderson Silva front kick, you can in this game.
There is also an all-new “PRIDE mode,” that will take gamers back to the days of the biggest Japanese promotion on the planet, Pride.
Pride rules, Pride fighters, fighting within a ring and commentary from the legendary Bas Rutten and Stephen Quadros are what gamers can expect in the new game mode.
For all you Fedor fans, there has been no visual confirmation in any UFC Undisputed 3 video as to whether Fedor Emelianenko will be featured in “PRIDE mode” yet.
The game looks to be released on January 3, 2012 in North America on both the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 gaming consoles.
The game rating hasn’t yet been released. However, if it is anything like the last two installments of this franchise, it should receive a “T for Teen” game rating.
