Last weekends one hour UFC 135 prelims special on Spike TV pulled in some decent viewer numbers averaging 1.6 million viewers on Saturday night. Spike officials announced the audience numbers on Tuesday.
UFC 135: Jones vs. Rampage took place on September 24 at the Pepsi Center in Denver, Colorado. The event was headlined by a light heavyweight title bout between champ Jon Jones and Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson
The live television special featured two bouts, a middleweight fight that saw Tim Boetsch end Nick Ring’s undefeated streak by unanimous decision, and a lightweight bout featuring TUF 13 winner Tony Ferguson versus Aaron Riley. Ferguson would end the match by first round TKO.
The Spike TV special pulled in a 1.1 rating and peaked with 1.73 million viewers. The show had the highest ratings among males 18-34 and 18-49.
