Anderson Silva’s 25 year-old son, Kalyl Silva, will join his father on June 15 in São Paulo, Brazil, fighting Paulo Roberto as part of the “Spaten Fight Night” card topped by Silva Sr.’s bout against former UFC nemesis Chael Sonnen.

Read all about their special rules bout here.

“Kalyl has in his father his biggest inspiration, his greatest idol, and he’s very skilled,” coach Luiz Dorea told MMA Fighting. “It’s in his DNA. He’s very technical and disciplined. It’s his second training camp with us here and we noticed how fast he’s evolving.

“It’s so cool to see Kalyl fighting on the same card of Anderson. This kid has a bright future ahead.”

Silva Jr. is 2-0 as a pro boxer with one knockout.

Spaten Fight Night will also feature 2020 Olympic gold medalist Herbert Conceição, who is scheduled to compete against an unnamed opponent. No other bouts have been announced; however, the completed lineup will likely be finalized in the coming days.
