Despite having enough money to buy whatever he would like, Conor McGregor lives the life of luxury for free.

That’s according to McGregor’s head coach John Kavanagh. He explained that McGregor is paid handsomely to wear expensive gear. And when it comes to a night on the town, McGregor would prefer his “missus cooking for him”.

McGregor is estimated to have a total net worth of £78 million. That’s $98.5 million US dollars. If you follow the Irish superstar on social media you see that he regularly flaunts an extravagant lifestyle. However, coach Kavanagh says Conor gets a pass with most of the billing.

Speaking to the Irish Independent, he said: “He’s as competitive now with his business, his whiskey, as he is with his fighting.

“It sounds weird but he doesn’t actually spend much money; everything he wears he’s paid to wear; everything he drives is given to him; he’s not into restaurants, his missus makes his meals.”

With great fame comes great responsibility, however, and McGregor has been making headlines for many of the wrong reasons as of late.

The Irish superstar was given a driving ban last month after being caught speeding at 96 mph in a 62 mph zone in Kildare, Ireland.

The incident earned McGregor a six-month driving disqualification. He appeared in a Naas district of County courtroom earlier today. The courtroom was packed with “Notorious” supporters, which McGregor apologized to the judge for.

The judge lightly scolded McGregor who was wearing a navy checked suit, with a white shirt and navy tie. He’s still dealing with the six-month ban but appeared in court after being met with another charge of driving without required documentation.

He produced the documents and the charges were dropped.

Tyson Fury: If I Can Speak About Mental Health Problems, Anybody Can

Tyson Fury may not have beaten Deontay Wilder, but he showed millions of people anything was possible with hard work and dedication.

Fury continues to speak out about his trials and tribulations he endured during his bout with mental illness.

“Many men would have stayed down after being knocked down by Deontay Wilder but I wanted to show the world that anything was possible,” Tyson Fury told the viewers at the BBC Sports Personality of the Year awards on Sunday night.

Fury, 30, lost a split draw against Wilder in their WBC heavyweight title fight earlier this month. Three years ago, Fury defeated Wladimir Klitschko to become the world heavyweight champion. However, Fury fell into a deep depression that led to his abuse of drugs and alcohol.

He encouraged people going through tough times to keep fighting:

“No matter what you’ve been through in your life and no matter what you’re going through, you must always continue to get back up and keep going forward and fight back,” said Fury.

Fury also encouraged athletes to speak up on mental health issues because people are too often afraid to speak up:

“We need to spread the word on mental health more in sport because a lot of people are still living in darkness and are too afraid to come out and speak about it publicly.

“If I can do it – heavyweight champion, six foot nine, 18 stone, I’m supposed to be a big tough guy – anybody can do it.

“Anybody can get help, for sure.”

Wanderlei Silva tried to warn you … but no, you wouldn’t listen.

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) has once again canceled a major mixed martial arts (MMA) event that was scheduled to run the same night as a Bellator MMA fight card. And not just any old fight card, one that was headlined by the mighty Fedor Emelianenko.

The same “Emperor” who smashed and trashed six former UFC heavyweight champions (go ahead and do the math, I’ll wait).

“We’ve been going on that date for the last three years or however long, so everybody knows we’re going to go on that date,” Coker told MMA Junkie. “It didn’t work out for them because, to me, it’s a roster issue. Who is going to fight? And if you’re going to bring someone to fight against the Fedor-Bader card, and ours is free on Paramount and on DAZN, and you’re going to run on pay-per-view, then you better have your A-game. I think they just ran out of bullets.”

The empty chamber was UFC 233, which the promotion had hoped to fill with the welterweight title fight pitting Tyron Woodley against Colby Covington, but “The Chosen One” was still recovering from a hand injury and unable to answer the call.

That means Jan. 26, 2019 belongs to Bellator MMA.

The Fedor vs. Bader card will take place inside The Forum in Inglewood, Calif. as part of the promotion’s heavyweight grand prix. In addition, former UFC middleweight Gegard Mousasi will be in action, as well as ex-WWE headliner Jack Swagger.

“This is not the first time,” Coker said. “This is like the second, maybe even the third time this happened on that weekend. It is what it is. For the most part I feel like we’ve just got to focus on our business and keep running, but we have a great card on that day.”
