Trevin Giles is way too busy knocking out his opponents as quickly as possible to have the time or inclination to take to twitter. Giles’ schedule is packed full of fights as he now headlines RFA 41 and will face off against none other than Josh Clark.

Giles’ professional record is impeccable with 6 winsand zero losses and Josh Clark is no slouch either, he has 9 wins to his name and has lost just two fights. Giles hardly has time to breath, not too long after his fight with Clark, Giles will be summoned up to face off again and this time in the octagon with him will be Isaac Villanueva.

One of the things that really impresses about Giles is not only his flawless professional record, but that fact that he was able to knock out all but two of his opponent’s right in the first round of the fight. And guess what? The two that made it out of the first round were knocked out in the second round.

Giles has expressed that he is focused on his career, his fights, his opponents, his strategy and his training right now and does not really care too much for self promoting, and monitoring his opponents and fellow fighter on social media.

Giles is of the opinion that his form and his quick finishes will attract all the attention he wants and we find it hard to disagree with that analogy.

It is no secret how shields felt about Conor McGregor, in fact, Shields was simply ecstatic when Diaz took down McGregor recently. Shields had a microphone hooked up and everyone could hear him taunt Conor McGregor as the fight slowly but surely slipped away from McGregor and into the hands of Diaz.

Shields could not hide his Joy and the taunting got a bit much and he had to be censored off. Why such strong feelings? Well, ever since McGregor jawed at him in the pre – bout conference, the bout had become more than just a fight for Shields, it was now personal.

Shields confessed in a recent interview that maybe his emotions got a little too out of control and he said somethings he should not have, but he justified the way he reacted to the downfall of McGregor by reasoning that McGregor had talked a lot of *insert explicit word here*in the preceding weeks and so Shields’ emotions were a little riled up.

When asked what he thought about a possible McGregor Diaz rematch, Shields said he did not believe McGregor would be up to take on Nate Diaz again. Shields continued that McGregor was a good fighter, but had gotten overhyped and then received a reality check courtesy of Nate Diaz.

Shields added that McGregor would have lost irrespective of whether he taunted him or not, and said that he was just trying to get in his head and thereby provide a helping hand to Nate Diaz.

Lingerie Fighting Championships angling to sign Ronda Rousey if she retires from the UFC

If Ronda Rousey never fights in the UFC again, she has a spot reserved for her in the … Lingerie Fighting Championships.

Ronda Rousey has neither fought nor officially had another fight booked since losing her bantamweight title to Holly Holm at UFC 193. Recent surgery has postponed her potential return to the Octagon to December 2016 or even early 2017. Rousey’s future in MMA has been subject to a considerable amount of speculation that includes the possibility of her not competing again.

What if Rousey does decide that the Holm loss was her final UFC fight? What’s the next chapter in her life? I suppose Hollywood is the logical answer, but we can’t leave out the chance that she will sign with another promotion. It’s a self-admitted “long shot,” but Shaun Donnelly’s Lingerie Fighting Championships could be Rousey’s next destination. This is not a misprint, the following italicized text is their 100% real press release sent out on Wednesday, July 27th.

Lingerie Fighting Championships, Inc. (“LFC”) (OTCQB:BOTY) announced today that it will pursue Ronda Rousey in the event she retires from the UFC.

“Ronda Rousey has long been at the very top of our wish list,” said Shaun Donnelly, LFC’s Chief Executive Officer. “Not only is she one of the top fighters of all time, she is also a very beautiful woman who isn’t afraid to show off her sexy side.”

LFC has never made an offer to any fighter already under contract with another league but recent rumors that Rousey plans to retire if she loses a rematch to Holly Holm has changed the landscape.

“We have reason to believe that Ms. Rousey might seriously consider a role with Lingerie Fighting Championships, either as a competitor or an ambassador,” Donnelly says. “She has been critical in the past at how little female fighters are paid and LFC has always shown a real commitment to paying our fighters very well.”

Previous LFC events have boasted purses in excess of $15,000 and while Donnelly acknowledges this is a very small sum compared to what Rousey earns with the UFC, it is anticipated the publicly traded company might make an offer that combines purse with shares of the company.

“It’s still a long shot at this point,” Donnelly admits. “For one thing, I don’t believe Rousey will lose to Holm a second time. She’s an exceptional fighter and she’s going to have a long time to prepare. I wouldn’t bet against her under those circumstances.”

In the meantime, Lingerie Fighting Championships 21: Naughty ‘n Nice will air on more than 1000 cable / satellite systems and networks worldwide on August 12 @ 10pm ET / 7pm PT. Check your local cable listings.

I think the press release speaks for itself and there’s not much more to add, but we might as well add while we’re here. This is their (kinda NSFW) commercial for LFC 21 in August. Why stop there, though? If you want to see how the women of Lingerie Fighting Championships (AKA potential Ronda Rousey opponents) compete inside the cage, here’s a sizzle reel from LFC 20.

The UFC’s partnership with USADA to clean up the sport of mixed martial arts (MMA) has already had a lasting effect on many high-profile cards, and now it’s effecting the official rankings list as well.

Word arrived on UFC Tonight this evening that former three-time featherweight title challenger Chad Mendes had been removed from the featherweight list after he was issued a two-year suspension for testing hot for growth hormone in a May 17 out-of-competition test.

With Mendes’ removal, all of the ranked featherweights from No. 4 Ricardo Lamas to No. 11 Darren Elkins moved up a single spot each. The top four spots comprised of champion Conor McGregor, interim champ Jose Aldo, No. 2 Frankie Edgar, and No. 3 Max Holloway stayed intact.

There was a decent amount of movement in the aftermath of last weekend’s (Sat., July 23, 2016) UFC on FOX 20 from Chicago, Illinois, and none more so than in the wild women’s bantamweight division. Valentina Shevchenko moved up a lofty four spots to the No. 3 position after a one-sided win over Holly Holm in the UFC on FOX 20 main event. The upset allowed Ronda Rousey to sneak into the No. 2 spot, with Miesha Tate remaining at No. 1 after her submission loss to current champion Amanda Nunes at UFC 200 two weeks ago.

Men’s bantamweight saw a small amount of movement, with former title contender Eddie Wineland moved up three spots to No. 12 after he knocked out Frankie Saenz, who dropped to No. 15, on the UFC on FOX 20 preliminary card. Jimmie Rivera, who will meet by far the biggest test of his career when he faces No. 3 Urijah Faber at UFC 203 this September, also moved up one spot to No. 13.
