Triller is selling one-of-a-kind NFTs of Jake Paul’s past and upcoming fights.
The non-fungible token (NFT) fad continues to roll along. For those unfamiliar with NFTs; they are pieces of media created on blockchain (like cryptocurrency) to ensure that each piece of digital media created is unique and impossible to edit or copy.
NFT artwork, or ‘CryptoArt’, is collected, traded and sold like baseball cards. Some NFTs have recently sold for tens of millions of dollars. Creating CrypoArt requires enormous banks of computer servers, which consume incredible amounts of energy. Many conservation groups have raised concerns about NFTs and the damage that they do to the environment.
According to TMZTriller, who burst onto the celebrity boxing scene last year, are selling an NFT that shows Jake Paul’s KO of Nate Robinson from last November, for $10 million. Triller are justifying the price-tag by claiming this NFT will be a 1-of-1 collectible, meaning no other versions of this clip will be turned into an official NFT.
Whoever buys that NFT will also receive a 1-of-1 NFT of the last 30 seconds of Paul’s fight with Ben Askren.
The NFT market is extremely volatile, with prices for CryptoArt soaring and plummeting at a second’s notice. It is thought that, should something spectacular happen to finish the Paul vs. Askren fight, the NFT of that moment could be worth well in excess of $10 million.
Should the fight peter out and go the distance, the NFT buyer shouldn’t expect to make a profit off the token.
Triller are selling this NFT on their Triller NFT Marketplace platform, which is made using the Ethereum blockchain infrastructure.
This isn’t the first time an NFT has made waves in the world of combat sports. Recently it was claimed that Francis Ngannou made more money from an NFT sale than he did from the UFC for his recent title win over Stipe Miocic.

“Jon Jones definitely has more tools in his pocket than Stipe, but I’m not sure he’s tougher than Stipe though”.
Francis Ngannou still thinks a superfight with Jon Jones is ‘the No. 1 fight’ to make but believes Stipe Miocic might be the tougher opponent.
Ngannou, who KO’d Miocic to win the heavyweight title at UFC 260, spoke to heavyweight boxing legend Mike Tyson about his dream of fighting Jones in a ‘Rumble in the Jungle’-type event, a reference to Muhammad Ali’s iconic boxing match with George Foreman in 1974.
“Everybody in this position would like to get compensated,” Ngannou said of Jones on the “Hotboxin’ podcast (via MMAJunkie). “Basically, a guy like Jones, he’s been around for very long and been doing this sport, and (the UFC) grows. I think there’s nothing wrong about (wanting to get paid more). But I don’t know what the deal is. I would like that fight to happen – that would definitely be the No. 1 fight.”
“I think they can recreate ‘Rumble in the Jungle’ – the idea,” he added. “That would be something dope, and I’m definitely going to be a part of that. I wish they’d do it pretty soon, maybe something with Jones. We’re going to recreate ‘Rumble in the Jungle.’ That’s something epic, and now that Africa stands as a figure of combat sports, we have to go back to that.”
Ngannou thinks Jones has more tools in his arsenal than Miocic but believes Stipe is the tougher man.

Jones has been back-and-forth with the UFC amid growing frustrations over fighter pay but the former light heavyweight champ believes the Ngannou fight is destined to happen.
“I think it’s gonna happen. I think the UFC eventually will do the right thing. I think this is one of the greatest fights of our generation and it would be really sad if it weren’t to happen. I believe that it will. It would be a real tragedy [if it didn’t happen]. It’ll happen.”

***UPDATE: A very angry McGregor now claims “the fight is off” and insists he will be competing against a new opponent on July 10 — FULL STORY HERE.
Former UFC two-division champion Conor McGregor promised to donate $500,000 to Dustin Poirier’s “The Good Fight” Foundation after “The Diamond” agreed to rematch the “Notorious” lightweight at UFC 257, a fight that McGregor lost by way of technical knockout.
But when it came time to cut the check, the power-punching Irishman was nowhere to be found. That didn’t stop “Mystic Mac” from making another bold prediction about the conclusion of his Poirier trilogy in July, forcing the Louisianan to pull the Scrooge card.
“That’s a fun prediction!” Poirier told McGregor on Twitter. “You also predicted a donation to my foundation and you and your team stopped responding after the fight in January. See you soon, July 10th. Paid In Full!”
“We thanked him because his team reached out fight week to initiate the process but ghosted us the past two months after the fight,” Poirier continued. “My foundation has reached out three times since with no reply. We’ve moved past it! We will be announcing our next goal soon! It’s a big one.”
“A donation, not a debt,” McGregor countered. “We’ve been awaiting the plans for the money that never came. I do with all my donations. Know where it’s going dot for dot. Otherwise it goes walking. As is the case with a lot of these foundations, sadly. You took the McG over the belt shows I was right.”
“100% never a debt,” Poirier replied. “You offered, we accepted, and like I said your team never responded to our emails regarding the process of where funds would be put to work! July 10th you will taste defeat yet again.”
“My team does their due diligence to make sure every donation meets the mark,” McGregor continued. “My generosity is known. You will pay with your brain for this attempt at smearing my name. Shooting ass shelling ass bitch. Little bitch kicks from a shell. Good luck when you’re caught. You’re fucked.”

Mayor pro tem Tito Ortiz has been pressured to denounce the White Lives Matter rally that happened this weekend in Huntington Beach.
Huntington Beach Mayor pro tem Tito Ortiz was blasted by his constituents at a city council meeting last week. The concerned citizens had called into the meeting to ask that the UFC Hall of Famer to take action to halt a White Lives Matter rally that occurred this weekend in the city. The rally was being organized by a group called The Loyal White Knights of the Klu Klux Klan.
The White Lives Matter rally was attended by a small number of white supremacists. They were met by approximately 200 counter-protesters (per NBA Los Angeles). The Huntington Beach Police Department declared an unlawful assembly at the site of the duelling protests and made a handful of arrests.
Over the weekend Ortiz released a video message, which he called a ‘PSA’, addressing the rally. @FullContacTMTWF has the video. You can see it below:
In the comments, he appears to be blaming the rally on members of the Democratic Party. pic.twitter.com/6uRnlP6qu7
“I’m Tito Ortiz of Huntington Beach, California. I’ve lived here 46 years and the last couple of days I’ve been hearing some news about the KKK coming to Huntington Beach. I denounce it 100%. I denounce all hate groups that even come to Huntington Beach. This is a beautiful city and it will be protected. HBPD, thank you very much for your support. Once again I denounce all hate groups; KKK, white supremacist, all of them. End of the day, I’m an American. I want to do the right thing and live this American dream. It’s important to me. Very very important to me. Gotta protect it. So all hate groups. All racist groups, I want no part of it. Coming from me, Tito Ortiz.”
In a follow-up comment to his video, where a poster asked “Actual KKK in California in 2021?”, Ortiz responded, “Yeah it’s called a democratic party.”
Ortiz has been most politically active since the rise of Trumpism. Prior to launching his own political career Ortiz was a vocal supporter of former US President Donald Trump (who once had Ortiz on his The Celebrity Apprentice reality show). In addition to supporting Trump, Ortiz has been active in supporting baseless conspiracy theories that have spawned out of Trump’s one-term as President. Among those theories is the ridiculous claim that COVID-19 was a planned epidemic that was initially used to control protesting crowds in Hong Kong.
As a city council-member Ortiz is regular at odds with his fellow council members. The council is currently holding all its meetings via Zoom after Ortiz refused to wear a mask at city hall. When recently asked by fellow council members if he would consider wearing a mask, so they could return to in-person meetings, Ortiz refused and said he was willing to cause a confrontation with law enforcement at city hall to prove his point.
The White Lives Matter rally is not the first time Huntington Beach has hosted the KKK or other hate groups. The KKK has been active in that city, and much of Orange County, since at least the 1920s. The area was also a well known recruitment hub for Neo-Nazis in the 1980s and 90s.
The Los Angeles Times reportedthat in recent years, during the rise of Trump, Orange County’s historical racism has bubbled to the surface. That report, and others like it, cite incidents at high schools, hate crimes, creation of new far-right organizations and OC residents being involved in the US Capital riots as evidence of this.
