Video: Shamrock trains in pool for Gracie trilogy, Royce mocks him for it

Watch Ken Shamrock train in a swimming pool, and check out how Royce Gracie responded.

Bellator has released their ‘Countdown’ show that previews their upcoming tentpole event featuring Ken Shamrock vs Royce Gracie 3, and Kimbo Slice vs Dada 5000.

Apart from extensive smack talk from the 4 featured fighters, there were a bit of random clips featured like Royce showing off his armory of guns, Dada returning to where he had those street fights, and others. Also among those shots from the Spike TV special, was Shamrock doing some strength and conditioning in a swimming pool. (Watch above starting at the 14:30 mark)

“What can I do that’s going to help me become a better fighter?” Shamrock asked. “This training in the pool, is helping me get that workout in, but not damage my body.”

Royce has since responded to this, throwing another jab at his opponent from social media:

Are fat guys with their natural “body armor” less susceptible to body shot knockouts? UFC lightweight Joe Lauzon tested it out as he spammed big left hooks to the body of one of the guys in his gym.

Lauzon, who has scored knockdowns and KO’s to some of the biggest names in the sport, threw a total of 17 punches to the body. Watch the clip above for the end result.

As the title of the video states, obviously, don’t be dumb, and do not try this at home. Broken ribs and internal injuries are no joke.

Lauzon, who is 25-11 in his career, is known for being one of the most entertaining fighters in the sport and currently holds the record for most post-fight bonuses in UFC history. He has recently stated that he would be interested in facing a fellow fan favorite in Diego Sanchez once he heals up from injuries.
