Bellator bantamweight champ Eduardo Dantas is likely to return to the cage in February.

Andre Pederneiras, Dantas’ trainer and manager at Nova Uniao, told MMAjunkie.com that his fighter is restricted from contact for a month following a training session that left him dizzy and nauseous.

“He can train in jiu-jitsu and wrestling, but he can’t [take] a punch or kick to his head,” wrote Pederneiras via email.

The UFC returns to Canada next month for UFC 154, featuring a welterweight title unification bout between champion Georges St-Pierre and interim titleholder Carlos Condit.

The pay-per-view event takes place Nov. 17 at the Bell Centre in St-Pierre’s home city of Montreal. St-Pierre is a 3.5-to-1 favorite over Condit in the fight.

In anticipation of the pay-per-view headliner, plus a fight between Johny Hendricks and Martin Kampmann, the UFC has released an extended preview video for the event.

Tickets for the UFC’s annual blockbuster year-end card, UFC 155, go on sale today.

“UFC 155: Dos Santos vs. Velasquez 2” takes place Dec. 29 at Las Vegas’ MGM Grand Garden Arena and features a heavyweight title fight between champion Junior Dos Santos and Cain Velasquez.

Tickets for the event go on sale to the general public Friday at 1 p.m. ET (10 a.m. PT local time) and are available at the MGM Grand box office and Ticketmaster locations.

On a card featuring a rather famous knee in the main event, it is a knee that has knocked out one of the undercard’s competitors.

Stephen Thompson has suffered a knee injury and has been forced out of his UFC 154 fight against Besam Yousef, sources close to the fight on Friday confirmed to MMAjunkie.com. MMA Fighting first reported the news.

The UFC has not yet announced Thompson’s injury, and it is not known if a replacement will be sought to face Yousef on three weeks’ notice.

Riding a three-fight win streak since dropping to lightweight, T.J. Grant has a new deal with the UFC.

The Canadian fighter has re-upped with the UFC for four more fights. Grant announced the news on his Facebook and Twitter accounts.

Grant is coming off a “Fight of the Night” decision win over Evan Dunham at UFC 152 this past month.

The Cage Warriors 49 weigh-ins are complete, and all but but one competitor made weight on their first attempts.

Main event welterweights Bruno Carvalho and Cathal Pendred each hit their marks for their headlining bout. Carvalho weighed in at 170.6 pounds; Pendred was 170.9.

Only Karl Harrison failed to make weight on his first try. The flyweight came in at 126.9 for his fight against Neil Seery (124.5), but hit 125.8 on his second try.
