Be honest, none of us thought Strikeforce would actually get to renew their contract with Showtime network, but miraculously a deal was made. So naturally, Dana White will finally be involved in promoting the organization..
Be honest, none of us thought Strikeforce would actually get to renew their contract with Showtime network, but miraculously a deal was made. So naturally, Dana White will finally be involved in promoting the organization. White stated, “I never thought I would say this, but I am very much looking forward to building Strikeforce and working very closely with Showtime.”
Thankfully White will be apart of things though, because Strikeforce is losing its best known division, the Heavyweights as the top guys migrate over to the UFC. But don’t fret, we will all get to see that long awaited Heavyweight Grand Prix Tournament Finale with Josh Barnett vs. Daniel Cormier before the division is completely absorbed, though of course, no date on that fight card has been announced.
Also on the list of cuts is the Strikeforce Challengers series, but you probably don’t care about that since that’s pretty much why it’s been axed.

He asks about the Chael Sonnen beef, but that has since been “squashed” and is less interesting than when Helwani asks Celeste if she’s happy for Brittney Palmer‘s return or if three is a crowd. Celeste responds, “In the past, three has always been a crowd, but we make it work… I think it will be good. We’ll see.”
Helwani presses further for controversy by asking Celeste: “Who has been the worst Octagon Girl of all time in your opinion?”
Celeste answers, “I can’t say but I’m sure that you guys can guess. Like the worst interviewer ever. Like, [Arianny makes whiney screeching sound] is all I can say.”
Ariel Helwani tries to extract a name from Arianny, which put her on the defense to say, “Everyone thinks I’m like the evil one. I’m not the evil one. I’m just the one that has been around the longest, that knows how to talk about the sport, that actually has a brain…Obviously, I know what I have and I use it to my advantage and that’s why I’ve been around this long… I’m not some evil chick.”
Celeste says she has no influence over who is hired and fired unlike what some fans have perceived.
Former UFC Octagon Girl, Natasha Wicks was bombarded with questions regarding this interview and took to her Facebook to respond:
Several of Natasha’s supporters offered kind words and a couple of fans bashed Celeste. Wicks went on to comment asking for no one to insult Arianny. Wicks simply wanted to clear the air and respond to the questions regarding Celeste’s statement to Helwani. Wicks said “spread love” not hate.
Well, I certainly hope that ends this potential feud from growing. Pretty girls should never fight with each other, unless there are pillows involved… Maybe jello… Mud?… I digress.

So last night Junie Browning posted on his Facebook that he was basically forced to defend himself after 11 or so men picked a fight with him to test the skills of a “UFC fighter guy”. He said he was battered with objects and then a Thai women stabbed him. He then broke a few jaws in self-defense before passing out from blood-loss and was resuscitated. But as there are two sides to every story, it seems the bar filled with Thai folks disagree with Browning’s account and a waitress says an irate Junie Browning started the brawl, which was said to have continued at the hospital (perhaps, after resuscitation). It isn’t hard to believe these accounts since Browning did get sued for beating up on a few nurses in a Las Vegas hospital after a suicide attempt in 2009. Here is his on camera explanation for that incident with us at MMA Fix here. But, I also consider that all the blame may not be fairly placed on Junie and there could be several people at fault. It’s not like Junie’s is the first story you’ve ever heard like this. A bunch of drunk dudes at a bar get in a fight? That’s pretty typical. A crazy bitch stabs you? I can buy that, too. Maybe I’m just jaded. I do live in Vegas. That happened here 5 times yesterday.
Either way, police in Phuket are searching for Junie Browning. I can only imagine where he could be hiding, if they have yet to find him. Of course, the slave traffickers seem to hide themselves well down in Thailand, too so this hunt may take awhile.
