A battle of intriguing UFC featherweight prospects is on tap for April.

Two promising featherweights are expected to square off against each other this spring.

MMA Junkie reports that agreements are in place for Arnold Allen and Sodiq Yusuff to fight on April 10th. No official announcement has been made but pen to paper should happen in just a matter of days.

Allen (16-1) is a perfect 7-0 inside the Octagon and holds notable victories over Makwan Amirkhani, Gilbert Melendez, and most recently Nik Lentz. The Englishman was supposed to face Jeremy Stephens this past November but Stephens withdrew due to injury.

Yusuff (11-1) has won six straight, including on Dana White’s Contender Series to get him into the UFC, where he boasts a 4-0 record. His last outing saw him defeat Andre Fili by unanimous decision at UFC 246 in January. He didn’t compete for the rest of 2020 but was booked to fight Edson Barboza last October before pulling out due to undisclosed reasons.

Official UFC rankings have Allen at #9 and Yusuff at #10, so someone’s undefeated UFC record is going to disappear. Or it could end in a draw or no contest, I suppose. But you get the idea.

The UFC’s April 10th show is scheduled to feature Darren Till and Marvin Vettori in a five-round middleweight main event.
