UFC officials are close to announcing an exciting new bantamweight bout for their upcoming UFC 202 pay-per-view event in August.
According to MMAFighting.com, UFC is close to finalizing a deal to add Cody Garbrandt vs. Takeya Mizugaki to the UFC 203 event.
Garbrandt (9-0) has amasssed a perfect 4-0 record inside the Octagon, with his latest victory coming by way of knockout over previously undefeated Brazilian contender Thomas Almeida in May.
Mizugakki (21-9-2), most recently fought — and defeated — George Roop via unanimous decision back in December.
Headlined by Conor McGregor vs. Nate Diaz 2, UFC 202 is scheduled to take place on August 20, 2016 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
