Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) legend Donald Cerrone will look to end a four-fight losing streak when he meets welterweight finisher Niko Price at UFC’s upcoming event on September 19, per a recent report by ESPN’s Brett Okamoto (shown below).

The card has not been officially announced by UFC, but is expected to take place at UFC APEX in Las Vegas and air live on ESPN.

Cerrone, 37, has tasted defeat in his last four trips to the Octagon, which is the longest losing streaking of his storied career. Having faced Conor McGregor, Justin Gaethje, Tony Ferguson, and Anthony Pettis in those four fights it’s easy to see how “Cowboy” could come up short. Still, fans have grown accustomed to seeing Cerrone win inside of the Octagon —evident by his 23 career UFC victories— so expect the veteran to do what is needed to take out “Hybrid.”

Price, 30, is coming off a TKO loss to Vicente Luque back in May, but the welterweight veteran has still never dropped back-to-back fights in his professional MMA career. Throughout his 11 trips to the Octagon, Price has amassed a 6-4 (1 NC) record while recording six equally devastating finishes. “Hybrid” has been waiting for his breakout party and this may very well be it.

On paper, this welterweight clash should turn out to be one of the most entertaining fights of 2020. After all, both men have combined for nine post-fight bonuses in just the past three years, while turning in some of the best finishes during that time.
