Rising featherweight prospect Billy Quarantillo kept things rolling earlier tonight (Sat., Sept. 12, 2020) at UFC Vegas 10 live on ESPN+ from inside UFC APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada, when he finished brawler Kyle Nelson via third-round knockout (punch).
While Nelson came out hot and landed some really hard punches in close quarters, Quarantillo stayed the course and kept busy in the clinch and on the ground. Quarantillo’s pressure started to deplete Nelson as the Canadian prospect relied on one-punch counters to score points.
At the beginning of the third round Quarantillo was able to step into a combination and put the finishing touches on his main card opener. Quarantillo’s first punch was blocked but his second connected right on Nelson’s orbital bone, sending “Monster” down for the count.

With this performance, Quarantillo earns his third-straight UFC win in as many attempts and proves that he deserves a step up in competition his next time out. The 31-year-old has won his last eight professional fights dating back to 2016 and now has six career finishes by way of knockout.
