On October 26 the UFC will head to Manchester, England to present a fight card that will be headlined by a bout between top-10 middleweights Michael Bisping and Mark Munoz.

If you know anything about Bisping (24-5), you know that the fact that there are seven UFC fight cards scheduled prior to the event he will headline will do little to deter him from promoting the hell out of his fight. That fact will also not stop the outspoken and ever-confident Bisping from telling everyone just how he is going to defeat Munoz (13-3) when they do meet at the Manchester Arena.

Bisping took to UFC Tonight on Tuesday evening to do just that, saying of Munoz:

He’s a great wrestler, but I think he’s one-dimensional. Anybody who refers to themselves as having a Donkey Kong style, I refuse to lose to. I’m far too skilled for him. He’s going to try to take me to the ground and use these stupid punches. He’s very powerful, and I’m not underestimating him. He’s a very accomplished wrestler. Listen, I’m going to punch him in the face repeatedly, and eventually he’s going to fall down. On October 26, I’m going to kick his ass, and no one’s even going to think about him anymore. If they thought he was depressed before, on October 27, the day after the fight, he’s going to be really more depressed then.

Bisping, ever the opportunist, is referring to the fact that Munoz admitted on his website to suffering a bout of depression after his loss to Chris Weidman in July 2012.

Munoz bounced back from that loss, a broken foot and a 60-pound weight gain with a unanimous decision win over Tim Boetsch at UFC 162.

Bisping is also 1-1 in his last two fights. In January of this year he was TKO’d in the second round of his fight with Vitor Belfort, but came back in April to earn a technical-decision victory over Alan Belcher after Belcher could not continue following an accidental eye poke. The end of that fight came in the third round.

Bisping is currently ranked fourth in the UFC’s middleweight division, while Munoz comes in at the No. 6 spot.
