Israel Adesanya is clearly the fight to make for Anderson Silva; he is Silva’s spiritual successor and the chance for them to fight is fleeting. Style Bender vs. Spider. Last generation of great striker vs. new generation of great striker. Adesanya works best when given space; Silva will give him space. Silva works best when on the counter; Adesanya is probably confident enough to come forward without having to worry about the takedown.
Anderson Silva is cleared to return this fall.

Hopefully Bellator’s welterweight tournament sees Michael Page actually fight Paul Daley and/or some other good welterweights.
I spoke to Paul Daley (@Semtex_170) this morning and this is what he told me:
“I have every intention of being in the tournament. I’m pretty sure that Micheal Page (@Michaelpage247) will be my first fight, just hope we can get the deal done.”

I don’t know who to root for because both these guys have gotten raw deals in their last couple bouts. Merab Dvalishvili fights at an utterly insane pace and nearly survived that guillotine for thirty seconds by just bicycling his feet, and Terrion Ware has fought hot prospects or top fifteen guys in each of his three UFC fights so far.
Pretty happy that both these guys got another shot!
– Merab got a reasonably bad split against Saenz and then that screwy finish with Simon.
