Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) recently assembled an interesting light heavyweight match up for its upcoming UFC on FOX 27 mixed martial arts (MMA) show, set for Sat., Jan. 27, 2017 inside Spectrum Center in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Ovince Saint Preux vs. Ilir Latifi.
Saint Preux (22-10) was mired in a dreadful 1-4 streak from 2015-17, but quickly bounced back in April with a submission win over Marcos Rogerio de Lima, then followed that up with consecutive stoppages over Yushin Okami and Corey Anderson, match ups that came together on super short notice.
“OSP” has 17 finishes in 22 wins.
After getting put away by Ryan Bader at UFC Fight Night 93, Latifi (13-5, 1 NC) returned to the win column with a unanimous decision win over Tyson Pedro at the UFC 215 pay-per-view (PPV) event back in July.

UFC on FOX 27 — featuring “Prelims” on FOX Sports 1 and UFC Fight Pass — doesn’t have a headlining act just yet, but we’re roughly two months out from the “Queen City” spectacular, so a main event is likely to be announced in the coming days.
