With news that Conor McGregor is out of UFC 200 due to his refusal to promote the fight, and his surprising retirement tweet, it is now reported that McGregor will fight again soon.

MMA Fighting’s Ariel Helwani has tweeted that McGregor will fight again in the near future with no specific date or set timeline.

Helwani has been spot on with most of his speculations and reports being the first to know about the Diaz/McGregor rematch. Dana White went on “The Herd” earlier today to discuss in detail what happened between the UFC and McGregor.

“I don’t think he’s retiring,” Dana White said to Colin Cowherd. “I think he’ll fight with us within the next year.”

Dana White has assured MMA fans that he is in charge despite many feeling he “cuddles” and plays favorites with his superstars. The last time a fighter was pulled out of a card due to failure to promote a fight was Nate Diaz’s older brother Nick at UFC 137 (he eventually was put back on the card).

McGregor has not had a follow up tweet or major TV announcement to indicate to fans on whether or not he is in fact retired. Stay tuned to mmanews.com for the latest on these developments!
