Misha Cirkunov is in need of a new opponent for UFC 235.

Ovince Saint Preux has been forced out of his light heavyweight bout against Cirkunov due to an injury, MMAFighting.com reported Saturday night. The UFC 234 broadcast confirmed the news.

Saint Preux vs. Cirkunov was set for UFC 235, which takes place March 2 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. A replacement opponent has not been found as of yet. It is unclear when Saint Preux will be able to return to the cage.

Rising 205-pound prospect Johnny Walker called for a shot against Cirkunov in a social media post Saturday. Walker is coming off a quick knockout of Justin Ledet at UFC Fortaleza last weekend.

Saint Preux is coming off a decision loss to top contender Dominick Reyes at UFC 229 last October. Before that, he tapped out Tyson Pedro with a straight armlock. “OSP” went 1-2 in 2018.

Cirkunov bounced back from a two-fight skid in his last fight, submitting Patrick Cummins in the first round of their UFC Moncton fight in October. The Canadian was coming off losses to Glover Teixeira and Volkan Oezdemir.

In the UFC 235 main event, Jon Jones defends his light heavyweight title against Anthony Smith. In the co-headliner, welterweight champion Tyron Woodley meets Kamaru Usman.
