“But yeah, there’s a few [at welterweight] I have unfinished business with.”

Darren Till will be looking to start afresh next month, as ‘The Gorilla’ will be moving up from 170 pounds to 185 pounds to take on top-five middleweight contender and former interim title challenger Kelvin Gastelum in the UFC 244 co-main event at Madison Square Garden, New York.

Till felt the need to move up in weight after suffering back-to-back stoppage losses to Tyron Woodley and Jorge Masvidal and, although currently focused on Gastelum, the Liverpudlian would like to eventually move back to welterweight to avenge his knockout loss to ‘Gamebred’.

“Never say never but Masvidal — maybe I can get back at him. By the time I’ve gone through all I’m going through now, Woodley will probably be retired. I don’t see him staying around much longer. But yeah, there’s a few I have unfinished business with,” Till said at a recent media scrum (h/t Abhinav Kini of The Body Lock MMA).

When asked about returning to 170 pounds for a possible grudge match with Colby Covington, Till said he’d be more interested in a title bout with current welterweight champ Kamaru Usman.

“Not really, me and him, we had a little bit of chatter but never really crossed paths,” Till said of Covington. “I feel like he’s on a totally different path. I feel like that fight with [Kamaru] Usman was always a fight I wanted. As much as a lot of people tried to avoid him, that was a fight I wanted to get. Obviously with him being the champ now.”

UFC 244, which also features a headlining ‘BMF’ welterweight title fight between Nate Diaz and Jorge Masvidal, takes place next month, Nov. 2 at New York’s Madison Square Garden.
