Dana White doesn’t think much of the PFL’s acquisition of Bellator MMA.

Last month, Donn Davis, the proprietor of the Professional Fighter’s League, ended months of speculation when he officially announced that his company would merge with Bellator, creating a new powerhouse in the world of mixed martial arts, or so Davis says.

Fight fans are undoubtedly excited to see PFL champions mix it up with Bellator champions next year, and even White appeared to offer Davis and Co. a word of encouragement following the UFC’s latest event in The Lone Star State on Saturday night.

Good for them,” White said at the UFC Austin post-fight press conference. “I wish them all the luck in the world.”

Just in case you thought White was being genuine, the outspoken UFC CEO made his feelings on the merger quite clear in a follow-up comment.

“One sh*tty organization that sells no tickets and nobody watches buys another sh*tty organization that sells no tickets and nobody watched,” White added. “Sounds like a f*cking winner to me, boy. Right? Woo. Go, guys.”

Donn Davis Convinced that Dana White is ‘Worried’ About the PFL

Following news of the acquisition, Donn Davis suggested that Dana White is “worried” about what the PFL can bring to the table with the Bellator talent on board.

“Everybody knows Dana well enough that he only dismisses things that worry him, or else he just doesn’t comment,” Davis said on The MMA Hour. “He didn’t comment on the PFL for four years, ‘cause he wasn’t worried. He’s commented on the PFL a lot the last six months – [he’s] worried.”

He added,“It’s just a matter of time before … we’re not No. 2 – we’re a co-leader,” Davis said in November. “[White] doesn’t want that. That’s what’s going on.”

Dana White doesn’t seem all that concerned to us, but only time will tell.

Dana White unsure on signing Dillon Danis to the UFC I haven't thought about it

UFC CEO Dana White responds to rumours regarding Dillon Danis possibly signing with the promotion.

The career of Dillon Danis has been an odd one to say the least, a once promising MMA fighter turned to cannon fodder for influencer boxers. The 30-year-old came to prominence through his links with Conor McGregor, heling the Irishman out with his BJJ.

After being signed to Bellator, Danis would only compete twice for the promotion against low-level competition. Then came the in juries and out-of-competition troubles that has forced Danis to not enter the cage since 2019.

Then Danis would sign to fight YouTuber Logan Paul, absolutely thrashing Paul on social media in the build-up to the fight. However, his performance was awful, landing in the singly digits and displayed little boxing skill.

Dillon Danis wants in the UFC

His performance and lack of MMA activity has still not stopped Danis from claiming a UFC move should be next. ‘El jefe’ was recently let go from Bellator and has called for a move to the UFC.

“I think the UFC now will see my potential in selling fights and everything like that. Sign me,” Danis said. “Let’s do it, Give me the biggest fight, give me anybody you want. Just don’t send anybody you want back. I’ll beat them all.  I want to prove what I’m saying is true, because it pissed me off that people don’t believe in me, so I want to go out there and I’ll fight any one of them.”

When asked about the move , White would simply answer – “I don’t know, I haven’t even actually thought about that.”

to his credit, Danis has managed to consistently grab headlines throughout his absence from competition, and when he did finally fight, he was arguably the biggest talking point of the event.

Page, officially a free agent since fighting out his contract with the Scott Coker-led, Bellator MMA, most recently featured in professional mixed martial arts back in March of this year, stopping Goiti Yamauchi with a leg kick TKO win inside just 26-seconds of the opening round.

And appearing at UFC 286 later that month, London Shootfighters staple, Page was linked with a move to the Octagon, with a promotional representative confirming the organization’s interest in penning the 36-year-old to a contract.

Furthermore, divulging some information regarding a potential move to the Octagon, Page claimed that if he moved to the UFC, he would like to fight a contender within the top-5 of the welterweight division from the get-go.

“Can I see myself there?” Michael Page said of a move to the UFC. “100 percent. I want top five – top 10 max. I don’t feel like I need to prove myself all over again. I just want to go in there – and we’ve seen it with Michael Chandler. He went in there, fought a top 10, Dan Hooker. Great first win for him, that just sprung him into title contention.”

“That is the route I see myself in,” Michael Page explained. “I don’t see it in any other way. I don’t need a warm-up fight. And it’s not like I’ve been out of the game for ages. I’m ready to go now.”
