Dana White had some choice words for Brendan Schaub. Last week heading into UFC 279, the main event fighter Khamzat Chimaev missed weight in his scheduled bout against Nate Diaz. The UFC then shuffled the six main card fighters into new bouts. Brendan Schaub believes this was all planned by the UFC.
Upon hearing this, UFC President Dana White had the following to say at the post-fight press conference. Originally, White mistakenly thought it was UFC Hall of Fame fighter Pat Miletich who had said these things.
“I heard this thing today … Like, [Brendan Schaub] was saying … That we told Khamzat not to make weight because we weren’t selling tickets. The f*ckin’ show was sold out going into that day at the weigh-ins … He has to be the dumbest motherf*cker on the planet. You know how stupid you have to be to even think something like that, let alone say it publicly and act like you’re f*ckin’ serious.”
On his YouTube show Thiccc Boy, former UFC heavyweight Brendan Schaub said:
‘”The UFC knows how a pay-per-view is gonna do, how it’s gonna sell even before the fights go live. They know how it’s trending, tracking through all their promotions. I think the fans were turned off by Dana’s treatment of Nate Diaz. They did not give him a fight, they gave him the worst match-up possible … I just think it wasn’t trending well, they had this kind of as a plan B.” [Transcription from Sportskeeda]
UFC 279 originally booked Nate Diaz vs Khamzat Cimaev in the main event at 170, also Daniel Rodriguez vs. Kevin Holland at a catch weight of 180, plus Tony Ferguson vs Li Jingliang at 170. Chimaev missed weight by nearly 10 pounds forcing a shift in the top three bouts at this event. Schaub believes that this was no coincidence.
Dana White says Brendan Schaub might need to visit the clinic
UFC President Dana White continued ostracising Schaub in his post-fight rant. He explained that it would be preposterous for the UFC to try and do something like this. “We’re regulated by the athletic commission. And if you think we told Khamzat Chimaev to not make weight then Khamzat shows up and the fans are all pissed off at him … We might have to send [Schaub] to the clinic here, the brain clinic here, get him f*ckin’ checked out.”
In his initial rant, White called out Pat Miletich, by mistake, upon hearing that it was not Miletich, White said, “It wasn’t Pat Miletich? I apologize to Pat Miletich then,” When told it was Brendan Schaub, Dana White added, “That makes sense.”

Former UFC heavyweight contender, Brendan Schaub has claimed that if he were in the inner circle of former two-weight champion, Conor McGregor’s team, he would be urging the Dubliner to pursue a fight against former interim champion, Tony Ferguson – with the hope of securing a much-needed victory.
Headlining UFC 264 back in July of last year, McGregor, a former undisputed featherweight and lightweight champion, suffered a first round doctor’s stoppage TKO loss against another former interim 155lbs champion, Dustin Poirier, after he fractured his left tibia in the opening round.
Forced with snapping a run of two straight losses for the first time in his Octagon career, McGregor headlined a UFC 257 event back in January of last year, dropping his first career knockout loss in the form of a second round finish in his rematch with Poirier.
Targeting a return to active competition at the end of this year, if not the beginning of 2023, McGregor has been linked to a slew of potential matchups in his time away from the Octagon.
Brendan Schaub lays out a guide map for Conor McGregor’s UFC future
And according to former heavyweight contender turned podcast host, and stand-up comedian, Schaub, McGregor should pursue a fight with the aforenoted, Ferguson – if not Michael Chandler to boot.
“If I’m Conor McGregor’s team, the smart route to go is – you gotta get a win,” Brendan Schaub told The Schmo during a recent interview. “So if my poison is Michael Chandler, Tony Ferguson – you know, it’s not a knock on Tony, but I would say, Chandler just beat Tony. I would go for Tony, get a win, and then try to fight Charles Oliveira – or f*ckin’ (Islam) Makhachev – Makhachev’s a tough fight for Conor.”
“He (Conor McGregor) has to get a win,” Brendan Schaub explained. “So Tony Ferguson is probably your best bet out of that bunch. You gotta get a win – and Michael Chandler’s tough, man.”
Calling time on his professional career back in 2015, Schaub ended his professional career boasting a professional record of 10-5.
Brendan Schaub believes that there won’t be another champion as dominant as Jon Jones. This past weekend, Jiri Prochazka created history when he dethroned Glover Teixeira to become the new light heavyweight king at UFC 275. He also became the first Czech champion in the promotion and received major backing from legendary fighters such as […]

Brendan Schaub doesn’t think that there will be another Jon Jones
When it comes to any champion in the UFC, and especially in the 205-lbs division, Jones is widely considered to be the gold standard for other athletes given his accomplishments. The former two-time UFC Light Heavyweight title holder successfully defended the strap 11 times and has never lost a bout where the title was on the line.
In the latest episode of the Schaub Show, Brendan Shaub shared his thoughts on why he believes the 205-lbs title will continue to change hands despite Prochazka’s abilities.
“I think [the UFC light heavyweight belt] gets circulated just non-stop,” Schaub said. “I think that thing gets passed around like a doobie at a Snoop Dogg concert; just here you go, here you go, here you go, here you go.
“I think you’re going to get multiple world champions in the next two years and when I look at the division, you know, unless there’s some freak that comes along soon that we haven’t heard of, you’re not getting another Jon Jones in this lifetime; a guy who’s just absolutely dominant.” (h/t Sportkeeda)
UFC Light Heavyweight title’s recent history
Jan Blachowicz won the vacant title after Jones’ absence against Dominick Reyes in September 2020. His only title defense came against the reigning UFC Middleweight king Israel Adesanya, who moved up a weight class to test out his chops. ‘The Legendary Polish Power’ would go on to drop the crown in his next fight to Glover Teixeira.
From Teixeira’s win over Blachowicz last October, the UFC Light Heavyweight gold has changed hands three times in just the last seven months.
It remains to be seen whether Jiri Prochazka is able to add some stability to the division and emulate a run similar to Jones’ early career. While there has not been an official announcement, he will likely face Blachowicz in his first title defense.
Meanwhile, Jones has been out of action for over two years now gearing up to make his heavyweight debut. He’s expected to face Stipe Miocic for the interim title sometime later this year.

Former UFC veteran turned comedian Brendan Schaub did not hold back in a response to Dana White saying the judges “blew” the scoring in Yan vs Sterling fight.
UFC 273 saw Aljamain Sterling crowned as the victor in his rematch against Petr Yan. After five intense rounds and a split decision, Dana White placed the bantamweight belt around Sterling’s waste.
“Whenyou’re the president of the UFC, you have a responsibility. So when you say that the judges got that one wrong, now, you’ve f*cked Aljamain Sterling over. Now you’ve f*cked him. He beat the naysayers, the haters, he shut everyone up. Now it resurfaces because the most powerful man in the UFC says ‘He didn’t win that fight’. Which, you don’t know what you’re talking about. You’re wrong, dude.”
The controversial first match between Sterling and Yan brought an immense amount of hate from social media. Trolls attacked Sterling online, claiming he was an actor for his reaction to the illegal knee given by Yan.
“You f*cked your fighter over. Now, he has to go back to the drawing board and deal with this stupid f*cking hate. Why? Because he only won three out of five rounds? You watch it from cageside on your little monitor, and you rush to judgment before watching for a second or third time. It’s your f*cking responsibility, your duty, should be when you say that stuff, you’re going based of the criteria that the fighters have to when it comes to judging. But you don’t. You came to a quick judgment, and it f*cked your fighter.”

Former UFC heavyweight turned popular podcaster Brendan Schaub recently told Mike Tyson, to his face, that he thinks the current WBC heavyweight champion, Tyson Fury, would’ve beaten him.
Schaub was part of a four-hour-long podcast called ‘The Lion’s Den with Mike Tyson and Friends‘ and during the show, the question was asked, “Mike Tyson in his prime vs Tyson Fury in his prime. Who wins?”
Before Tyson had a chance to answer Schaub jumped in to share his opinion about the hypothetical fight between two of the all-time heavyweight greats
“Mike, before you answer, this is no disrespect but for me, technically-wise, Fury can go defense,” Schaub said. “His footwork is great. To me, as far as technique-wise, he is the best we’ve ever had.”
‘Iron Mike’ seemed to shrug off Schaub’s comment and the question. Tyson takes pride in the fact ‘The Gypsy King’ was named in his honour.
“Listen, just him being Tyson Fury shows my greatness,” Tyson replied. “I don’t know. I don’t care if he could beat me or not. His name is Tyson. He can beat me but I don’t care he is named after the greatest fighter that ever lived.” (Transcribed by GiveMeSport)
Mike Tyson Appears To Be Done With Boxing
The former heavyweight king returned to boxing after 15 years in retirement when he faced Roy Jones Jr. in an exhibition bout in November 2020. Tyson recently suggested that he would not fight again as what he saw as a fun comeback others viewed as the chance to make money.
“Guys want to fight me for $100 million,” Tyson said on The Full Send podcast. “I don’t think I’ll ever do stuff like that anymore. I wanted to do it the first time [against Jones], just for fun, to have fun. Some people took it to another level and made it financial and the fun went out of it.”
Do you agree with Brendan Schaub? How do you think Mike Tyson vs. Tyson Fury would’ve played out?
