Bryce Mitchell releases statement after convulsing UFC 296 KO loss I'm okay

Bryce Mitchell is blaming a bad game plan for the brutal knockout loss that he suffered at UFC 296 against Josh Emmett.

According to ‘Thug Nasty’ improper planning was the reason that he looked so ‘timid’ and eventually got knocked out during his fight with Josh Emmett. The knockout was a particularly violent one, and left Mitchell convulsing uncontrollably, battling what appeared to be a seizure.

Fans, commentators, and seemingly the entire world were concerned for the young UFC star. 4-1 in his last five, few would have expected such an outcome in that fight. Mitchell was the betting favorite leading into the bout, despite coming in on short notice. People expected him to utilize his smothering grappling, and this was aided by the fact that Emmett had been preparing for a striker before Mitchell (a grappler) stepped up on short notice.

Bryce Mitchell later took to social media and addressed the fans to let them know he was alright, and also spoke about his game plan leading into the matchup.

Bryce Mitchell releases statement on Instagram after he suffers one of the most brutal knockouts of the year

“Hey, I wanted to let everybody know that I’m ok,” Bryce Mitchell began, speaking on Instagram. “I wanted to thank y’all so much for watching and I’ve just been so blessed this weekend. I cannot complain about anything.”

“Really, where I messed up,” Mitchell continued. “Poor strategy. So, my strategy was to stick to the jab, make my reads, and work my feet. Kinda sit on the outside. But, that put me to where I’m not putting that forward pressure that I really like to put (on my opponents). It also made me look like, timid, ya know. And, that’s not how I fight.”

“I fight very aggressively,” Bryce Mitchell continued, looking very disgusted with the reality he was speaking about. “So, I encourage anybody that’s got a fight in their life, not just a fistfight, be aggressive… Just attack it, because at least if you go down, you’re gonna know that you fought and you went head-on towards it… Just a bad strategy by me tonight. And, uh gosh. Josh hits hard!”

Mitchell would continue for a short time longer, giving praise to his adversary. The video surely is bittersweet to fans. Watching such a devastating knockout occur is never a great thing, but at least Bryce Mitchell wasn’t seriously injured after that one.

Josh Emmett lands gruesome one punch knockout win over Bryce Mitchell convulsing UFC 296

Former interim featherweight contender, Josh Emmett has turned in one of the most shocking knockout stoppages in recent Octagon memory — stopping the highly-touted, Bryce Mitchell with a horrific first round KO to kick off tonight’s main card at UFC 296.

Emmett, who entered tonight’s fight with Mitchell in a short-notice reworked clash, had most recently suffered a one-sided unanimous decision loss to incoming UFC 298 title challenger, Ilia Topuria at UFC Fight Night Jacksonville earlier this summer.

And rebounding to the winner’s enclosure in absolutely devastating fashion, Emmett, a staple of Team Alpha MMA in Sacramento, California, dropped Mitchell stiff with a massive overhand right shot — sending The Ultimate Fighter alum to the canvas in worrying fashion.

And then celebrating his victory on one knee, Emmett and watching attendees witnessed Mitchell convulsing and rattling his legs and body as he regained consciousness on the Octagon mat, in one of the most gruesome and worrying stoppages in the history of the sport.

Below, catch the highlights from Josh Emmett’s KO win over Bryce Mitchell at UFC 296

Bryce Mitchell Believes The Big Bang was introduced by the Catholic Church After it was ‘Infiltrated by Satanists’

If you thought Bryce Mitchell’s belief that the earth is flat was the extent of his crazy conspiracy theories, we have news for you.

‘Thug Nasty’ steps back into the Octagon this Saturday night (December 16) for a short-notice showdown with one-time UFC interim title challenger Josh Emmett. Originally, Emmett was scheduled to square off with Giga Chikadze, but the Georgian was forced to withdraw from the contest, paving the way for Mitchell to step in and get one more fight before 2023 comes to a close.

Recently, Bryce Mitchell joined former middleweight champion Michael Bisping on his YouTube channel to discuss his upcoming contest. But as is typically the case with every ‘Thug Nasty’ interview, Mitchell was more interested in spouting his over-the-top conspiracy theories to anyone willing to listen.

Discussing everything from evolution, to past civilizations, and even the Freemasons, Bryce Mitchell really outdid himself when he managed to wrap The Big Bang, Catholic Churches, and Satan all into one tidy package.

“The Big Bang was created by a Catholic priest, not a scientist and that is a sign that the Catholic church has been infiltrated,” Mitchell said. “The pedophiles that infiltrated the Catholic Church. The Satanists have infiltrated the Catholic Church. I have Catholic buddies and they might hate me for saying that, but I don’t think they will.

“I think they’ll understand what I’m saying when I talk about pedophiles and Satanists infiltrating the Catholic Church. That is a real issue and I believe The Big Bang was introduced by the Catholic Church because it’s been infiltrated by Satanists.

Bryce Mitchell Believes Our Society is Devolving and The Freemasons know it

Fast forwarding 13 billion years, Mitchell shifted gears to technologically advanced civilizations of the past and his belief that we as a society are actively devolving.

“We’re going backward in history,” Mitchell said. “We’re actually devolving. If you look at the architecture from before, it indicates there were superior societies with superior technology and this has all been hidden by The Freemasons who are actually responsible for destroying architecture to hide the truth of the past.

“If you look up 1893, there was a Chicago World Fair and we’re talking hundreds of brick and mortar buildings and not like the ones you see today. I’m talking columns, statues, ornate designs, and steeples. You name it. Buildings have been destroyed. I’m talking the most beautiful buildings you’ve ever seen destroyed. 1893 in Chicago, all of those buildings have been destroyed. All, but two of them.”

Mitchell then turned his attention to the pyramids as a way to further make his argument for the de-evolution of our society.

And for good measure, he made sure to throw some shade at U.S. President Joe Biden, because why not?

“If you look at them pyramids and the degree of accuracy they were built with and we couldn’t do that today, especially with Joe Biden running our country,” Mitchell added. “Joe Biden would f*ck up… We couldn’t replicate that today. Our government would screw that up tremendously. And how did those pyramids get there?

“I firmly believe that we’ve been lied to about our history and maybe some of that knowledge has just been plum lost, but I think secret societies out there have that knowledge and hide that knowledge.

When he’s not busy praising Jesus and instigating flat Earth debates, UFC standout Bryce Mitchell likes to hunt down animals with his bare hands.

‘Thug Nasty’ got back into the win column last month with a solid three-round performance against Dan Ige. However, much of Mitchell’s work inside the Octagon was overshadowed by his pre and post-fight antics. Kicking off the night by shouting “freedom” whilst holding the bible over his head, Mitchell finished things up claiming that the horrific wildfires in Hawaii were man-made and a signal that the devil had returned to Earth.

Appearing on the OverDogs podcast following his seventh career win inside the Octagon, Mitchell shared another one of his unique tales. This time, ‘Thug Nasty’ claims to have once killed a while deer with his bare hands after failing to land a shot with his crossbow.

“That happened,” Mitchell confirmed. “Not like the biggest doe ever, but definitely not a small one. I was hunting with a crossbow and I had my scope electrical taped on there. I guess when I got out to the woods the tape wiggled loose and I was shooting and missing. I’m not kidding because my scope was taped on.

“I called the doe in for like two and a half hours. It fell asleep and I took a shot and I missed. I just climbed down the deer stand and I said I’m going to try to get my hands on it. I waited till it went back to sleep and I went real quiet down the deer stand and I was like, ‘F*ck it, I’m going to do it.’

“Before I slid the choke in I texted my coach and I told him to help. Slid my left arm in and I proceeded to choke it to death.”

Bryce Mitchell Ready to Make a Believer Out of Sean O’Malley

As ridiculous as it sounds, it’s something we can totally see Bryce Mitchell doing.

‘Thug Nasty’ moved to 7-1 inside the Octagon, and 16-1 overall following his latest win with his lone loss coming against the man slated to take on Alexander Volkanovski for the featherweight title in 2024, Ilia Topuria. However, if you ask Bryce Mitchell, that defeat should not count as he allegedly entered the bout with a severe case of the flu.

There’s been no word on when Bryce Mitchell will return to the Octagon, but if ‘Thug Nasty’ gets his way, his next task will be to convert UFC bantamweight champion Sean O’Malley from skeptic to a full-on believer in Mitchell’s ridiculous flat Earth theory.

‘Sugar’ Sean O’Malley got so high that Bryce Mitchell’s ridiculous flat Earth theory started to make sense.

Mitchell’s over-the-top claims about gravity and the Earth being flat are certainly no secret, but the Arkansas-born featherweight has been making headlines after calling for a debate on the subject with the UFC’s reigning bantamweight world champion, Sean O’Malley.

“Here’s my business proposal for ya. Have me on your podcast – I’ll tell ya how the Earth is flat, and I’ll tell ya all the proof of it,” Mitchell said in a video. “And you won’t be able to beat me in an actual argument, like a debate with facts. ‘Cause I’ve done a lot of research, and my attempt is to persuade you and get you closer to Jesus.”

O’Malley is yet to accept the offer, but it appears that ‘Sugar’ inadvertently found out just how high one has to get for Bryce Mitchell’s conspiracy theories to start making some sense.

“Hey brother, I’ve been thinking,” O’Malley said in a video posted on X. “I think you’re onto something about that flat Earth.”

Will Sean O’Malley Accept Bryce Mitchell’s Offer?

Clearly, Sean O’Malley is baked like a cake in the short, but amusing clip. The real question is, what kind of good-good was ‘Sugar’ on, and more importantly, where can we all get some of it?

Bryce Mitchell scored his seventh win inside the Octagon on September 23 earning a unanimous decision victory over Dan Ige. Despite landing the biggest W of his career thus far, much of the attention was focused on Mitchell’s pre-fight and post-fight antics. Moments before their scrap, ‘Thug Nasty’ brought a bible into the Octagon, raised it above his head, and yelled “Freedom” as if he had just finished watching Braveheart on Netflix.

Following the victory, Mitchell suggested that the horrific wildfires in Maui were manmade and tried to get his opponent to lead everyone in a group prayer before being cut off by Michael Bisping.

Bryce Mitchell is determined to bring UFC bantamweight world champion Sean O’Malley closer to God via a healthy debate over… flat Earth?!

Returning to the Octagon at UFC Vegas 79, ‘Thug Nasty’ delivered a solid three-round performance against featherweight fan favorite Dan Ige, but much of Bryce Mitchell’s performance took a backseat to his unusual post-fight interview. Refusing to let Ige leave the cage once the official results of the bout were announced, Mitchell suggested that the horrific wildfires in Maui were manmade and a sign of Satan’s return to Earth.

Bryce Mitchell even attempted to force Ige to lead everyone in a post-fight prayer before Michael Bisping walked out of the Octagon, taking the microphone with him.

Aside from his incredibly strong religious beliefs, Bryce Mitchell is an avid advocate of the controversial and downright silly flat Earth theory. Thug Nasty’ even offered to debate the subject with Joe Rogan on the longtime UFC commentator’s popular podcast, The Joe Rogan Experience. Thus far, Rogan has “sissied out” from the challenge, but it looks like Mitchell has found himself another potential candidate in current bantamweight king Sean O’Malley.

“So Sean O’Malley made a video, he said that the Earth ain’t flat and he wants to be more like Bryce because he wants to have animals. First off, the Earth is flat and I can explain to you how,” Mitchell said in a video on Instagram. “Second off, you can be a farm boy as soon as you make up your mind, O’Malley,” Mitchell said. “I want to apologize to ya,

“Sean. I want to tell ya that the only bad thing I’ve ever said about ya really is before your Yan fight I picked Yan and said that your YouTube following wouldn’t win you the fight. Boy, was I wrong ‘cause you lost that fight, in my opinion, and your YouTube following helped persuade the judges for the decisions.

“But that was an absolutely respectable performance against Yan. That was a fight that I knew you could scrap and man, you made me look like a total fool after that fight. Don’t think that I think that you’re stupid, that I think that you’re gay, or whatever, dude,” he continued. “I don’t care what people say about you, all I said was that your YouTube following couldn’t win you a fight, and I was wrong (laughs). You looked damn good that fight brother, you showed so much heart and courage. I want to take my words back, and I hope you can forgive me.”

Bryce Mitchell is Ready to Show Sean O’Malley That Centuries of Empirical Evidence is No Match for His Ability to Google

Evidence of a spherical Earth was first established sometime around 500 B.C. by Pythagoras, a Greek philosopher who made many important developments in mathematics, astronomy, and the theory of music. Around 350 B.C., Aristotle declared that the Earth was a sphere based on observations he made about which constellations you could see in the sky as you traveled further and further away from the equator. Since then, mankind has orbited the planet on multiple occasions and high-resolution photos by NASA have shown empirical evidence that the Earth is in fact a sphere.

Unfortunately, Pythagoras and Aristotle were unable to forsee the rise of the internet and the thousands of self-proclaimed scientists that it would produce.

“As a Christian, I have to admit when I’m wrong attacking somebody, and that was a bit of an attack, and it was unprovoked,” Mitchell said. “I’m sorry, I hope you can forgive me. Now, that being said, here’s my business proposal for you. Have me on your podcast, I’ll tell you how the Earth is flat. I’ll tell you all the proof of it, you won’t be able to beat me in an actual argument, a debate with facts. I’ve done a lot of research and my attempt is to persuade ya and get you closer to Jesus.

“Because when you understand that the Earth is flat and there’s a dome around it, you’ll probably be like me and just be closer to God after you realize the actual shape of the Earth.”

Are you ready to see Bryce Mitchell and Sean O’Malley throw down in a flat Earth debate?
