Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson

Jake Paul is set to face Mike Tyson in an anticipated boxing match on November 15, 2024, at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. This bout is a clash between the 27-year-old YouTuber-turned-professional boxer and the legendary 57-year-old former heavyweight champion.

Originally scheduled for July 20, the fight was postponed due to Tyson suffering from a medical issue. The event will be streamed globally on Netflix, making it their entry into the world of sports streaming. The match will consist of eight rounds of two minutes. Both fighters will wear 14-ounce gloves, which are heavier than standard boxing gloves. Despite being labeled as an exhibition initially, both fighters have confirmed that knockouts will be allowed, adding an element of seriousness to the encounter.

Former two-division UFC world champion Conor McGregor offered his feelings towards the Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson boxing match during a live stream with Duelbits. The Irish-born McGregor lit up and drank some booze on this stream.

Conor McGregor confirms 2025 return to UFC: 'I would like it to be against Michael Chandler'

When asked about Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson, McGregor said:

“Thoughts on Tyson-Jake Paul? I actually have Tyson’s marijuana. I’m going to show love to Mike Tyson… This is Mike Tyson kush straight from his farm, I had someone go out and grab it for us. Mike Tyson, this is your stock.

I don’t give a b****ks. They’re wearing 14oz gloves and it’s two-minute rounds, is it? Who gives a b*****ks? I hope Mike rattles the little dope, no one gives a f**k about him. How is that even in the f**king Dallas stadium?” [Ht Middleeasy]

The next fight for Conor McGregor has long been in discussions but not confirmed. The UFC fighter has two more fights left on his UFC contract and is looking to fight out both in 2025 then is considering walking away from the organization.

Renato Moicano Dismisses Talks of Potential Clash with Conor McGregor: 'He's Not Fighting Anybody'

Renato Moicano is not interested in waiting around for a fight against Conor McGregor.

On Saturday, Moicano scored his fourth-straight win inside the Octagon via a brutal first-round beatdown of Benoit Saint-Denis on the Frenchman’s home turn. While the ‘God of War’ made it out of the first five minutes, he was bloodied and battered to the point that the cageside physician was forced to step in and force the stoppage immediately following the second stanza.

Renato Moicano

Immediately following his big win at UFC Paris, Moicano fielded questions during the post-fight press conference, many of them regarding his future and what may come next. Unsurprisingly, a potential fight with Conor McGregor was brought up.

‘Money’ was quick to shut the idea down, making it clear that while he respects everything ‘Mystic Mac’ has done for the sport, he has no interest in waiting around for a fighter who simply doesn’t want to fight anymore.

“Conor McGregor and me, I don’t think he’s fighting ‘Money’ Moicano… To be honest, one of the fighters I respect the most in the game is McGregor because he completely changed the game,” Moicano said. “So, I will pay my respect to him just because now, he’s almost a billionaire. So, he can have, I don’t know, 200 losses and he will still be McGregor. He’s not fighting anybody, I think…

“I would not wait to fight McGregor because like Chandler, it’s just a trap right now. I think McGregor makes more money outside fighting. So, I don’t think he wants to go to cage to somebody that is ready to kill somebody for money” (h/t Sportskeeda).

Renato Moicano thinks a fight with Paddy Pimblett will be great for exposure

Instead, Moicano will focus on scoring a showdown with rising lightweight contender Paddy Pimblett.

“I think it’s going to be a huge exposure,” Moicano said when asked about a potential showdown with the Liverpudlian. “Right now, I’m looking for exposure. I’m looking for cameras because I’ve been in the UFC for 10 years. This year will be 10 years. Three years ago, nobody knew me. Nobody knew me, and I always work hard. I always have put in the work. But it doesn’t matter if you’re the best fighter in the world nobody knows.

I want more cameras. I want more people talking about my name in MMA because that way I can bring more attention, and I can make my case to fight for the belt eventually.”

Moicano called out ‘The Baddy’ during his post-fight interview which received an immediate response from Pimblett.

Unfortunately, we may be waiting a while for that fight after Moicano revealed that he suffered a nasty shoulder injury during his fight in The City of Light.

Heavily Intoxicated Conor McGregor Unloads on 'Little Ding Dong' Ilia Topuria: 'I'll Cave Ya Head In'

An inebriated Conor McGregor went off on Ilia Topuria during a Duelbits live stream.

On Friday, McGregor went live on Kick with the online gambling site and, as expected, the entire stream was a sight to behold. Completely drunk and high out of his mind while participating in the fan Q&A, McGregor discussed everything from his top five GOATS of mixed martial arts to his plans to challenge “woeful” welterweight champion Belal Muhammad. He even had some choice words for reigning featherweight titleholder Ilia Topuria.

Or as McGregor calls him, Ilia Abtura Toptura.

“How do you think you would beat Ilia Abtura, Toptura?” McGregor began.

“I’d grab him by the scruff of the chest and slap the little nose off of him. Little ding dong of a thing he is. I’m in Marbella at the Bare Knuckle, we’ll see what’s what. You little fool, I’ll cave ya head in. Ya little short ass tick, I’ll box your jaw in on sight, I’m in Marbella, Spain, October 12 at the bare-knuckle. See what happens, see what happens when you come across me,”

Maybe Ben Askren was on to something with his recent comments about the Irish megastar.

Conor McGregor ‘Betrayed the values’ that made him a star

It’s certainly not the first time McGregor has made some disparaging remarks about Topuria, though his comments come on the heels of ‘El Matador’ claiming that he was no longer interested in a fight with him because McGregor has “betrayed the values” that made him one of the best.

“I have been inspired by Conor. I admired him when I was little. And, he lost it because he has betrayed the values that brought him to the top. We have lost an idol,” Topuria said in a recent interview.

With McGregor heading to Marbella Arena next month for Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship’s DAZN debut in Spain, perhaps we’ll see Topuria cross paths with ‘The Notorious.’

Topuria is scheduled to defend his featherweight title for the first time on October 26 when the UFC heads back to Abu Dhabi for a loaded fight card inside Etihad Arena. Topuria will face current BMF titleholder and former 145-pound champion Max Holloway.

Conor McGregor Calls For Immediate UFC Title Fight Against 'Woeful' Belal Muhammad

With Michael Chandler moving on, Conor McGregor thinks he should get an immediate title fight when he makes his UFC return.

Mystic Mac’ has been tied to a fight with the former Bellator champion for well over a year. Since the bout never came to fruition, Chandler will instead run back his May 2021 clash with Charles Oliveira on Saturday, November 16 when the promotion heads back to Madison Square Garden for UFC 309.

Despite losing out on the Chandler fight, McGregor has remained insistent that he’ll make his quote-unquote “greatest comeback in combat sports history” in 2025.

During a recent Kick live stream for online gambling site Duelbits, the former two-division champion declared that with Chandler moving on, his return fight should be against none other than the UFC’s new welterweight king, Belal Muhammad.

“He’s woeful,” McGregor said during an intense rant. “I want to fight him. Okay, Chandler’s matched, let’s schedule Belal-McGregor UFC welterweight world title on the line. I’ve multiple knockouts at 170lb, I’m a force to be reckoned with at 170lb.

“I do damage at welterweight, check the stats. I’ve done them at 100 percent accuracy, this man doesn’t even have a knockdown in UFC history. Not one knockdown, it’s embarrassing, to be honest. I was kind of slow-rolling the person because I just don’t a b*****s.

“They’re all bums in the thing. You don’t be interested, come to me, but for the strap? Yes, next, yes please. Stall it Dana and the lads” (h/t Bloody Elbow).

Belal Muhammad has plenty of contenders ahead of conor mcGregor

With the contenders already lining up for their crack at Muhammad, it’s highly unlikely that McGregor will get his wish. ‘Remember The Name’ has already declared unbeaten finisher Shavkat Rakhmonov as the next man up, but there’s always the possibility that former 170-pound titleholder Kamaru Usman could get the nod despite sitting on a three-fight losing skid.

Also on the cusp of a title opportunity is Aussie standout Jack Della Maddalena. Winner of 17-straight, the 28-year-old has climbed into the No. 4 slot in the welterweight rankings with wins over the likes of Kevin Holland and Gilbert Burns. ‘JDM’ likely needs one more win to put him in pole position.

Jack Della Maddalena 4.11.22

In short, there are a plethora of contenders who are much more deserving of a title fight than Conor McGregor. With that said, the UFC is in the business of making money and the Irish megastar has proven to be very good for business.

Conor McGregor Reveals His Top 5 GOATS of MMA

Conor McGregor recently unveiled the five fighters he considers to be the greatest of all time. Shockingly, he wasn’t one of them.

‘Mystic Mac’ was recently featured on a live stream hosted by online gambling site Duelbits where he was asked a series of questions, one of them being who he considers as the five GOATS of mixed martial arts. With the snap of a finger, McGregor rattled off four notable names, though he needed a moment or two to come up with a fifth pick.

“Top-5 MMA GOATS,” McGregor said. “Rickson Gracie, Royce Gracie, Ken Shamrock, Chuck Liddell… how many is that? Three, four? Four? The OGs… Bas Rutten. Bas Rutten, yeah. Europe’s own. Europe’s first is Bas Rutten. What a man Bas Rutten is.

“Serious shape he’s in now. Bas, I’m right behind you, bro. I see you, Bas. I see you, Bas. I’m right behind you” (h/t MMA Fighting).

Inspired to train in martial arts after seeing the Bruce Lee classic Enter the Dragon, Bas Rutten established himself as a world-class kickboxer before becoming the first UFC champion from the Netherlands following a split decision win against Kevin Randleman at UFC 20 in May 1999 to claim a heavyweight title.

Rutten never defended the title due to injuries, but went on to cap off his iconic fighting career with an impressive 28-4-1 record with noteworthy wins over Frank Shamrock, Maurice Smith, Guy Mezger, and Tsuyoshi Kohsaka.

Rutten was inducted into the UFC Hall Fame Pioneer Wing in 2015.

Breaking down Conor McGregor’s GOAT List

The other four names on McGregor’s list were all prominent figures in mixed martial arts who, in one way or another, helped to bring MMA out of the shadows and into the spotlight.

Perhaps the most famous of which was Royce Gracie. Winning the inaugural UFC tournament in 1993, Gracie quickly became the de facto face of the promotion’s early days. Then there was his half-brother, Rickson Gracie, whose accomplishments have been touted as something straight out of mythology.

Conor McGregor

Ken Shamrock helped bring the UFC to another level during the promotion’s developmental years and Chuck Liddell is often credited as being MMA’s first true superstar, capturing the hearts of fight fans with his high-octane style of fighting before crossing over into the world of film and television.

Conor McGregor

With McGregor himself accounting for eight of the 10 highest-grossing pay-per-views in UFC history and becoming the first-ever simultaneous two-division champion in the promotion’s history, it’s a little surprising he didn’t include himself.

Do you agree with McGregor’s list?

Since losing his UFC featherweight title in February 2024, Alexander Volkanovski has been out of action and fans are happy to see him getting the well-deserved time off. However, the former champ is now back to training and is already talking about potential matchups.

Volkanovski was the featherweight kingpin for five years, defending the belt as frequently as possible. He also fought the UFC lightweight champ Islam Makhachev twice and for all these memorable moments, no one’s complaining about his expectation to get an immediate title rematch.

Ilia Topuria vs. Max Holloway is still a month away, though. In the meantime, Volkanovski would be happy to take a big money fight with Conor McGregor and then try to reclaim the UFC featherweight title…

Alexander Volkanovski Thinks It’s Feasible To Fight Conor McGregor Before Rematching Ilia Topuria or Max Holloway For The Title

From Topuria and Holloway to Diego Lopes and McGregor, Volkanovski discussed several potential opponents for his return on the Submission Radio YouTube channel recently.

“The Great” is open to fighting McGregor before he gets the rematch with the winner of Topuria vs. Holloway. Both fighters have had dominant winning streaks in the featherweight division and have beaten big names like Holloway and José Aldo.

With McGregor eager to book his UFC return as well, Volkanovski stated that he could fight “The Notorious” in late December or early 2025. He can focus on fighting the UFC featherweight champion later in 2025.

“It’s like title fights, exciting fights, and maybe, short notice fights, that’s the things that excite me, you know what I mean? So, now, I’m, you know obviously doing good now, back in training. Training hard in that as well, but yeah just what excites me. It’s just doing a contender fight in featherweight division, that doesn’t really get me out of bed. It would have to be a build on the line to get me excited and obviously, the Conor Mcgregor fight is very exciting.”

Volkanovski admitted to only wanting title fights, exciting fights, or short-notice fights for his return. Although he has no plans to be in a title eliminator against Lopes, the McGregor fight is definitely exciting for him and it wouldn’t impact his imminent rematch for the title as well.

The former UFC P4P No. 1 fighter also explained why he would choose to fight McGregor over Ilia Topuria at the moment.

“That’s a tricky one. I mean, obviously, I want that, I want that match back with Ilia, right, yeah? But I mean, right now, well, I don’t know exactly what’s happening in February. If Ilia wins, I don’t even know where he would want to fight. I don’t think, you know, I think they might be talking about maybe Sydney or something. I don’t think Ilia is going to want to fight there. So, who knows how long it is going to be. Is he gonna wait another six to seven months? So, I’ll say Conor McGregor right now, because then I could still do Ilia straight after that.”
