DAZN leaks Elle Brooke vs. Paige VanZant main event fight for Misfits Boxing 15 on May 25

Someone at DAZN is getting fired.

Ahead of Saturday’s Devin Haney vs. Ryan Garcia boxing match in Brooklyn, NY, both fighters were present at Thursday’s press conference to hype up their highly anticipated encounter. While the festivities provided the typical trash-talk between the proverbial cocky champion and his overly confident challenger, the real bit of excitement came in the closing moments of the event.

A seemingly innocent graphic ran at the bottom of the screen, revealing previously unannounced details regarding the MF & DAZN: X Series 15 headliner on Saturday, May 25.

Elle Brooke vs. Paige VanZant leaked

According to the graphic, the main event will be a bout between Elle Brooke and Paige VanZant.

Brooke was understandably frustrated by the leak.

“Feel like everyone just found out I was pregnant before I did,” the OnlyFans star wrote on social media. “Just to clarify, I am not pregnant. Just referring to incompetent people leaking sh*t early.”

Ahead of the DAZN Leak, Paige VanZant Teased Her Pro Boxing Debut

Earlier this year, VanZant teased that her return to combat sports would be in traditional boxing, though she offered no details regarding the date or a potential opponent.

“It’s really, really exciting,” VanZant told MMA Fighting. “Gloves on, it’s just straight boxing. I did think my next fight would be a bare-knuckle boxing match, but this opportunity came forward, and I was just like f*** it, let’s go. So I took a fight.”

VanZant’s unofficially official scrap with Brooke will be her first career boxing match. From 2014 to 2020, ’12 Gauge’ amassed a 5-4 record under the UFC banner before walking away from the promotion in pursuit of greener pastures. It didn’t take long for her to land a lucrative deal with Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship, making her debut at the inaugural KnuckleMania event in February 2022.

Paige VanZant

As for Elle Brooke, the ‘Baby Bomber’ claimed the Misfits Boxing middleweight championship, knocking out AJ Bunker in the third round at MF & DAZN: X Series 12 in the United Kingdom earlier this year.

Alex Stein

Right-wing YouTube personality Alex Stein was removed from the Misfits & DAZN X Series 8: Survivor Tag boxing event after throwing hotdogs at his Muslim opponent during an out-of-control press event.

Alex Stein was set to make his boxing debut as part of the Happy Punch preliminary card, but that is no longer the case after things got a little out of hand between him and his previously scheduled opponent Mohammad Kubba, aka YouTube star Mo Deen.

I brought you a little gift because I know you love hotdogs,” Stein said moments before chucking a container of hotdogs at the Muslim fighter. Deen immediately burst out of his chair and climbed on a table in an effort to get to his opponent while Stein continued to deliver a barrage of insults taking aim at Deen’s religious beliefs. “You love pork, right?… I think those are halal,” Stein quipped.

Alex Stein and Mo Deen Respond to Fight Cancellation

While the incredibly disrespectful display generated a ton of buzz for the event on social media, the promotion announced that Alex Stein had been removed from the card as a result of his antics. He took to Twitter later on, claiming the hotdogs that he used were in fact turkey dogs.

Both men have since issued a statement and were understandably upset to find out that the fight had been scrapped. Deen issued a statement, which you can see below, and Stein offered his own justification for why the fight should go on as scheduled. “My own opponent still wants to fight but unfortunately canceling me is more important than the actual boxing match,” Stein tweeted. “Mo deserves the chance to knock me out but they officially squashed that chance for him.”

Misfits boxing events are known for being big on spectacle and light on talent, but as it turns out, there is a very fine line that can be crossed and Alex Stein seems to have found it.

YouTuber and rap star, KSI, real name, Olajide Olatunji continues in his rich vein of form in consecutive exhibition boxing matches, tonight taking out short-notice opponent, FaZe Temperrr, otherwise known as Thomas Oliveira with a first round TKO victory in the main event of Misfits & DAZN X Series 4.

KSI, a popular YouTuber, social media star and rapper in the United Kingdom, previously headlined a Misfits Boxing event against both Brandon Scott, and Luis Alcaraz Pineda in the same night back in August of last year, scoring back-to-back knockout victories.

The 29-year-old returned to the squared circle tonight against the aforenoted, FaZe Temperrr, stopping the professional gamer with a straight hand to left hook combination — resulting in a knockdown within the opening two minutes of the first round.

KSI was iniaily scheduled to headline tonight’s card in London against Bellator MMA welterweight grappler, Dillon Danis, however, the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu ace was removed from his would-be boxing debut after fight promoters raised their concerns that the New Jersey native was unprepared for the fight.

KSI holds a single professional win in boxing, defeating Logan Paul — the elder brother of the 6-0 puncher, Jake Paul back in November 2019 in California.

Greg Hardy improves to 2-0 as a professional boxer

Former NFL defensive end and UFC veteran Greg Hardy faced Hasim Rahman Jr at Misfits x DAZN Series 3 boxing event on Saturday, November 19, 2022, live from the Moody Center in Austin, Texas.

Hardy fought Rahman on the main card of the event, filling in for former UFC light-heavyweight champion Vitor Belfort, who was forced out of the bout with an illness in the days leading up.

This was the second bout of Greg Hardy’s professional boxing career, the first happening last month in October where he KO’d Michael Cook in round two of his debut. Cook was also making his debut that night, but Rahman Jr came into this bout with a professional record of 12-1, and he’s the son of former two-time heavyweight champion Hasim Rahman.

Rahman was last expected to face Jake Paul in August, though that fight fell through and Paul ended up facing former UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva, also last month in October.

Rahman was able to finally step into the ring tonight however, and the result surprised a lot of people.

The opening round showcased Greg Hardy trying to use his size to his advantage, attempting to corner Rahman, who was able to evade with his superior footwork and land some big shots of his own. Hardy lands some big combinations along the ropes that had Rahman dazed in the second, where he eventually ends up dropping him.

Rahman then lands a thunderous left hand that staggers Hardy at the very end of the round, this really turned into a fight.

Hardy also stuns Rahman in the third round, though he was too tired to really capitalize on it, and he shows a more spirited effort than Rahman in the final three minutes to secure the universal 39-36 scorecard.

Dillon Danis

Bellator fighter Dillon Danis has not shown much interest in fighting inside the cage over the last three years, but he’s been more than willing to start trouble when backed by an entourage of friends and security guards outside of the cage.

Less than a week removed from an altercation with Nate Diaz outside of Madison Square Garden following UFC 281, Dillon Danis is back at it again, this time causing a brawl outside of the Misfits x DAZN X Series weigh-in with professional boxer Anthony Taylor. Minutes after causing a scuffle inside the building with YouTuber KSI, Danis found himself on the wrong side of an all-out brawl outside the building.

In a video clip shared by Chmatkar Sandhu on Twitter, Danis can be seen getting rocked in the altercation before it erupts into a group brawl.

Dillon Danis Took a Swing at KSI Before Getting Rocked by Anthony Taylor

Just minutes before Dillon Danis got a taste of Anthony Taylor’s power outside, the Bellator quote-unquote fighter decided to approach YouTuber and professional boxer Olajide Olayinka Williams Olatunji, better known as KSI, during his appearance at the event. Getting in KSI’s face, Danis threw a strike that caused absolute chaos. Presumably, it was at that point Danis was removed from the building and found himself getting jaw-jacked by Anthony Taylor.

While Dillon Danis parades himself around as a professional fighter, he has refused to step foot in a ring or a cage for the last three years. Scoring back-to-back wins under the Bellator MMA banner, Danis built up a fair amount of momentum, but it quickly dissipated. Attempting to stay relevant in the world of combat sports, Danis has now taken to showing up at random events and starting trouble.

Clearly, things did not go as planned this time when he decided to take issue with Anthony Taylor.

Tyron Woodley

New video from Sunday’s boxing match shows just how close Tyron Woodley was to finishing Jake Paul.

Woodley and Paul met in a highly-publicized boxing match on Sunday night. the two went toe-to-toe for the entire scheduled 8 rounds, which ultimately saw Paul declared the winner by split decision.

For the majority of the bout, Woodley appeared reluctant to engage with his opponent. The first 3 rounds saw him throw little offense, much like we saw in MMA bouts against Kamaru Usman, Gilbert Burns and Colby Covington towards the end of his UFC career.

However, as the fourth round rolled about, Woodley began to at least show some sense of urgency. He started to throw his hands more, and was able to slip a punch and counter with a hard left hook. The shot landed cleanly and appeared to have Paul in a world of trouble. DAZN has since released a slow-motion clip of the punch that truly shows how bad Paul was rocked.

Paul’s head snaps back and he is forced to lean on the ropes for support. But to his credit, he never goes down and was able to keep his wits about him. It was the first time we’ve seen Paul in any sort of trouble during his boxing career, and he showed that – despite what people think about him – he has some degree of toughness in his DNA.

Unfortunately for Woodley, he was unable to take advantage of the moment and allowed Paul back into the fight. While the second half of the fight proved much more competitive than the first, Paul had already done enough to earn himself the victory.

What’s next for Woodley remains anyone’s guess. He called for an immediate rematch against Paul, but the intrigue behind the fight is largely now gone and the former YouTube star probably has his eyes set on bigger and better things. Woodley could see if there are other opportunities for him in the boxing world, or he could see if any other major MMA organizations are willing to bring him on board. Of course, it’s also entirely possible we’ve seen him in his last fight and he hangs up the gloves for good.

Where do you think Tyron Woodley should go from here? Let us know!
