UFC Denver goes down from the Pepsi Center in Colorado (Sat. November 10, 2018) later on tonight.
In the main event of the evening, former UFC featherweight title challenger “The Korean Zombie” Chan Sung Jung returns. He will face young 145-pound star Yair Rodriguez. Initially, Jung was to fight Frankie Edgar, however, “The Answer” pulled out of the fight due to injury.
Also, the co-main event will feature an intriguing welterweight fight between Mike Perry and Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone. There’s some added interest to this one, given Cerrone’s issues with Perry’s corner, specifically Mike Winkeljohn.

There are a few personal issues between Donald Cerrone and Mike Perry’s coach Mike Winkeljohn at UFC Denver this weekend (Sat. November 10, 2018).
Cerrone and Perry will co-main event the Colorado card from the Pepsi Center. “Cowboy’s” grievances with his former JacksonWink coach have been well-documented. Cerrone has blasted his former coach for being primarily motivated by money and turning his longtime gym into a “puppy mill.” Not to mention JacksonWink opted to train Perry over Cerrone for their clash in Denver.
In the lead-up to the fight, Cerrone has been asked about his issues with Winkeljohn regularly. However, some have twisted the UFC veteran’s words into “clickbait.” In a recent interview, Cerrone directly offered media members another so-called “clickbait” headline (via MMA Junkie):
“It happened,” Cerrone said. “It did. And Winkeljohn drew his line in the sand. And now I get to spit on him on the other side, so it’s all right. (Expletive) him. There’s your clickbait, mother(expletives). (Expletive) you, Winkeljohn.”
It will be interesting to see if Cerrone and Winkeljohn interact with one another during him and Perry’s co-main event contest in Denver. However, Cerrone holds no ill will towards Perry, who he recognizes has nothing to do with his issues with Winkeljohn:
“My fight with Perry has nothing to do with Wink. That’s outside drama that has … it won’t even come into play on Saturday. Just right now you’re bringing it out in me. I’ll see him (over there), but it has nothing to do with it. My opponent is Perry. Perry has nothing to do with the drama going on with any of that.”

UFC Denver’s Donald Cerrone didn’t feel like doing an open workout so instead, he joked about an injury and hung out with the fans.
Denver – Cerrone took to the stage microphone in hand and addressed the partisan crowd. “I really don’t feel like working out right now,” “Cowboy,” said. “So instead I’m gonna hang out with you guys and take some pictures.”
Needless to say, the fans didn’t mind too much. But first, however, Cerone would have to talk to the media. And wouldn’t you know it the very first question that Cerrone would field would be regarding his decision not to workout.
Its unlikely Cerrone is injured heading into this fight. It’s much more likely that he just didn’t feel like working out as he said. But I’ll admit, at times it was hard to tell if Cerrone was pulling our legs or if there was some truth to his comments.
Watch “Cowboy” Cerrone’s open workout scrum below and draw your own conclusion. Is Cerrone injured heading into UFC Denver? Or was “Cowboy” just having some fun at the media’s expense Wednesday (Nov. 7, 2018) night?
