Jon Jones is preparing to defend his light heavyweight championship this weekend (Sat. February 8, 2020).

Fight week is a big week for anyone, most of all a UFC champion, so distractions aren’t necessarily welcome. With that being said, one of Jones’ ex-coaches, Frank Lester, has once again taken to social media to fire off shots at the Jones camp. Lester shared a photo of the Jones team and called them the “fakest group of people I’ve ever been around.” Here’s his full statement.

“Fakest group of people I’ve ever been around. They will invite you on the team after 8 years of faithful service. They will use you for the highest level of sparring and drilling, they will pray with you like you family, but in actuality none of these dudes give a flying fuck about the other personally, they just hanging on Jon’s nutsack bc they want to get paid. And when I got ripped off all these so called friends turned their backs on me & all the hard work I had given to Team Jone and Jacksons MMA as a whole over the last 8 years.

“Just bc jon is a super control freak who has to get his was and if you’re not ready to be his yes man and suck on his ego inflated dick… then you’re out! Well let’s see what KARMA has in store for this weekend for these fucking chumps! “Let em hate’ so long as they fear’ I’m not the one who needed to involve the police or call Greg Jacksons punk ass bc jon Jones was too scared to come fight me like a man for the money he owed me. Oh, yeah, Jon Jones is a master in the cage but a BITCH IN THE STREET.

“So he had Greg call his lil GF who works for APD and submit an unlawful red flag law memorandum on me bc jon Jones pussy ass thought I might shoot him, which I never said anything of the sort or hinted that was even a possibility.

“He’s just got a bitch ass cowards with no street heart to handle his own bullshit in real life when it comes to real men being about real business and he had to make sure the law would over step their boundaries bc his ego is so big & he knows Greg will break laws bc he needs that BONES paycheck bc after that divorce and his terrible business skills which killed the original gym, it prolly ain’t coming again for too much longer! #TANKLIFE #ImTheRealestINTheGame LETS GO CHAMP!!! @domreyes24

This, of course, isn’t the first time Lester has done this. He caused quite the stir with the Jones camp when he alleged that Jones hadn’t paid him for coaching him ahead of his fight with Thiago Santos last year. He also threatened Jones, saying it’d be “on sight” if they ran into each other in public.

Jones will put his light heavyweight title on the line in the main event of UFC 247 this weekend on pay-per-view (PPV). The action goes down from the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas. He’ll face off against undefeated knockout artist Dominick Reyes. It will be interesting to see if Jones will remain king of 205 pounds by the end of the weekend.

What do you think about Lester going off on Jones before UFC 247?

Former Jackson-Wink MMA coach Frank Lester expanded on his claims that Jon Jones failed to pay him his full fee for his services.

Earlier this week, Lester made an Instagram post thrashing Jones as well as Mike Winklejohn for his lack of pay as well as his treatment.

According to him, Jones only paid him $7,000 — $13,000 short of their agreed fee — for his coaching services over a 12-week camp in preparation for Thiago Santos at UFC 239. He later threatened Jones, stating things would be “on sight” if he saw him in public.

“Bones” would respond instantly by denying those claims and stating Lester was fired because of drug issues. However, Lester detailed what exactly went down that led to his departure and current issue with the light heavyweight champion:

“(Jones) did everything he could to s*it on me and my family,” Lester told MMA Fighting.

He added that when he was hired full-time by Jones after helping him prepare for Anthony Smith on short notice, he was promised a full coach’s pay between 20 to 25 grand. Instead, he was told his services were not longer required during fight week and later received a check for $7,000 following Jones’ win over Santos.

“Out of nowhere, coach Wink goes, ‘Well, you can take the seven grand and shut the f*ck up or you can leave,’ Lester added. “I said, ‘Well, I’m going to walk out the f*cking door because what you’re telling me is f*ck my wife, f*ck my two kids, and f*ck me.”

Lester even provided MMA Fighting with text messages after he messaged Jones about his paycheck:

“All I said was, ‘Jon, do you really think this is fair? You know, you promised me one number, and then you give me seven grand for a 12-week camp,” Lester explained. “You gave me three grand for a f*cking two-week camp last time. So let’s just do the math on that.”

As for the drug issues, Lester has had a history of being charged with possession of drugs. He also got into a physical altercation with arena security following Jones’ win over Smith while Jones claimed Lester was high for the entirety of his last fight week.

But for Lester, that’s just deflecting from the real issues at Jackson-Wink:

There’s no f*cking drug issue,” Lester said. “Where are the drug issues at? I’m not the one getting caught doing cocaine all the time.”

Following the Instagram post, Jones also wasn’t particularly pleased with Lester’s “on sight” threat. However, Lester clarified that it wasn’t a reference to gun violence but for an actual fight. Still, he decided to retract that part:

“You know what Jon, I retract any statement about it’s ‘on site,’” Lester added. “You go live your life, bro, and I’m going to go live mine. I know I’m going to be OK, because my soul’s in check. I know I’m doing the right thing. I spend every night at home with my pregnant wife. Can you say the same thing?”

What do you think of Lester’s claims? Do you believe him?

Jon Jones became aware of the post and commenteted on it defending himself and the team. He says he paid Frank Lester a lot of money and was always on time with paying. The reason he was fired was because of a drug problem according to the light heavyweight champ.

“Frank I gave you the opportunity of a lifetime. Everyone on the team knows that I would not agree to give you $20,000 for only your second training camp on my team. And if I did, I would have totally paid you that amount, not once and 10 years have I ever gotten a complaint about not paying staff members. If anything I’m always complemented for being peoples highest paying client by a longshot. I won’t even get in to the fact that you were fired from the team on fight week because of your drug issues. Anyways, I’m not going to argue with you over the Internet. I would be more than happy to take this to a judge. It’s the physical threatening that I have a problem with. I have no interest in carrying a concealed pistol or preparing for any type of street fight with you. Tomorrow I will be calling APD and bringing our confrontation to their awareness. Honestly I wish I would have never gotten to know you, but I truly do wish you nothing but the best. Please just leave me alone bro or see me in court.” — Jones replied.

Whether or not this will get to court is to be seen. But, there is no question the two do not like each other.

What do you make of Frank Lester’s post and Jon Jones’ reply?
