Amadeusz Roslik

Amadeusz Roslik punched out a YouTuber who has been critical of him. Sadek was doing an interview with MMA journalist Monika Laskowska when ‘Ferrari’ stepped up, landed a hard shot, and walked away. Sadek fell back crumpling much of the set. The YouTuber then stood up and planned to continue the interview while bleeding.

The entire interaction can be seen below:

‘Ferrari’ Amadeusz Roslik is a Polish-born MMA fighter with a 3-3 record plus professional boxing and kickboxing experience. Most of his fights were in Fame MMA but is booked to make his debut in High League on September 17.

Reports suggest that the YouTuber was a vocal critic of Roslik and so the Polish-born MMA fighter took matters into his own hands, literally. he attacked Sadek and left him bleeding during an interview. MMA.PL reports:

“Sadek has been a great critic of Ferrari lately. He, on the other hand, knows very well who the character who appeared at the 2nd press conference before High League 4 is. Effect? Ferrari knocked out Sadek with one powerful shot, and he fell to the promotional wall.”

‘Ferrari’ Amadeusz Roslik and fighting outside the cage

This is not the first time that ‘Ferrari’ Amadeusz Roslik has been involved with altercations outside the cage. Earlier in March of this year, the Polish fighter was involved with getting in a fistfight during a pre-fight interview. He was slapped by his opponent and responded with a flurry of punches.

This interaction can be seen below:

The Polish fighter also has a 2020 loss on his record due to disqualification. Roslik had knocked his opponent out and then followed up with an illegal soccer kick to the unconscious and grounded fighter.

This disqualification can be seen below:

Roslik is 3-3 overall in MMA and most recently had a split decision loss in a boxing match. September 17 is booked for his debut in High League. High League is a known organization in Poland for its high-drama moments. For example, a brawl erupted last year when a fighter looked to give their opponent a dildo during a staredown.

Additionally, High League promotes little-person fights as well.

It was recently confirmed by those close to Elias Theodorou, that the former UFC fighter has sadly passed away from cancer.

Elias Theodorou won ‘The Ultimate Fighter: Canada vs. Australia’ in 2014, defeating Sheldon Westcott by second-round TKO to win the middleweight bracket. ‘The Spartan’ would go on to have a successful UFC tenure, holding an 8-3 record and wins over the likes of Eryk Anders and Sam Alvey and only ever falling to long-time contenders, Thiago Santos, Derek Brunson and Brad Tavares.

The Canadian would part ways with the UFC following his 2019 loss to Derek Brunson, later ending his career on a three-fight win streak fighting on the regional scene in Canada and America.

Theodorou was also a vocal advocate for the use of medical cannabis, and in 2020, became the first professional athlete in North America to be granted a medical expectation for the use of marijuana.

“Then factor in what I do—a lot of punching and kicking. Wear-and-tear and damage both as patient and athlete compounds,” he said to Forbes in 2021. “Cannabis works best as a form of pain management, especially compared to the first-line alternatives.”

“Unfortunately U.S. athletes don’t have the same ability to argue medical rights, and definitely not medical cannabis rights,” he says. “I’m looking forward to showing them the blueprint I’ve used both in BC and Canada-wide, but also opening those doors and that conversation beyond Canada.”

TSN reported that Theodorou had been battling stage 4 liver cancer but did not make his diagnosis widely known. It would be later confirmed by MMA News that Theodorou had last his battle, tragically passing away on Sunday evening.

Below is Theodorou’s most recent performance, a winning effort against Bryan Baker.

Rest In Peace Elias Theodorou

Nate Diaz

In what appears to be Nate Diaz plotting his next career move after finishing out his time with the UFC, the Stockton native has confirmed he shall be ringside when former UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva takes on Jake Paul.

Diaz was able to ride off into the sunset last night after he emerged victorious in a battle of two legends against Tony Ferguson. A fitting tribute to end his time with the promotion saw the ‘209’ secure a slick submission in the fourth round to defeat ‘El Cucuy’.

Now as Diaz looks to step away from the sport and the promotion, for the time being, it seems he may be planting the seeds for his next career move as he confirmed he would be ringside for Jake Paul’s next fight against Anderson Silva.

Speaking to the media at the UFC post-fight press conference when asked whether he would be in attendance for the bout Diaz confirmed that he will, provided they can supply him with some high-quality tickets.

“Jake Paul and Anderson Silva let me get some tickets ringside. Yeah, I’ll go that that, that’ll be sick.”

Nate Diaz to enter the world of Boxing

It appears for now as Diaz steps away from the world of Mixed Martial Arts he will be joining many former competitors over in the world of Boxing.

The two men have traded blows back and forth previously and both seem keen to fight each. Now that Diaz is free from any contractual obligations with the UFC it seems extremely likely that this matchup could get made further down the line.

Paul took to his social media last night to respond to the news that Diaz was entering the world of Boxing and made it not so subtle about whom he believes he should take on.

Nate Diaz is going into the sport of Boxing. I wonder who he should fight.”

Although there is no doubt Nate Diaz will be celebrating following his victory over Tony Ferguson at UFC 279, the Stockton native showed no interest in taking part with current trends by doing a ‘Shoey’ to sign off on his final win.

The UFC veteran was able to snatch up a guillotine choke in the 4th round to secure him a potential last win in the UFC as he looks to exit the promotion for the time being. Speaking to the media at the post-fight press conference, following his win Nate quickly laughed at the idea of drinking anything from a shoe like so many fighters have done so recently, simply stating:

“That’s Gross.”

So, whilst drinking from a shoe is not currently on Nate Diaz’s agenda, he was quick to welcome all those in attendance to his post-fight party when he jumped on the mic with Joe Rogan to reflect on the night and his time within the promotion.

It now seems Diaz will step away from the sport to pursue new ventures with many fans expecting him to eventually take part in this transition to boxing like many former MMA fighters have done, leading to a potential matchup against YouTuber turned boxer Jake Paul.

Nate Diaz emerges victorious at UFC 279: Main card recap

In what turned out to be a much better event than people anticipated following the reshuffle. Let us take a quick look at just what went down on the main card of UFC 279.

In the opening feature bout, Johnny Walker was able to return to the winning column after he secured a first-round submission over the brawling Ion Cutelaba. However, Walker did not get to savor the moment as the Brazilian was quickly kicked out of the venue following his victory.

Irene Aldana was able to create history when she landed the first up-kick-body shot to finish a fight after a back-and-forth affair against Macy Chiasson.

Daniel Rodriguez and Li Jingliang went the full fifteen minutes after a back-and-forth affair where both men showed their abilities in a heavy striking affair. Ultimately it was Rodriguez who had his hand raised, not to the joy of many fans, after beating The Leech by a split decision.

Khamzat Chimaev was able to continue his dominant ways since joining the promotion as he quickly dispatched Kevin Holland in the first round via submission.

And to top it off, Nate Diaz went out on a high as he and fellow UFC veteran Tony Ferguson put on a fan-friendly affair which saw the Stockton native secure a submission victory with exactly 2:09 seconds left on the clock, a fitting way for the ‘209’ to end his time in the promotion.

Kevin Holland advises Kamaru Usman to retire from MMA following his devastating KO loss: “It’s time for him to go get paid.”

Kevin Holland has advised the former welterweight champion, Kamaru Usman, to leave the sport of Mixed Martial Arts following his crushing KO loss at the hands of Leon Edwards.

Holland himself has recently entered the welterweight division and things have gotten off to a promising start for the ‘Trailblazer’ who has gone 2-0 since making the switch to the 170-pound division. UFC 279 will see Holland return to the octagon to take on the undefeated prospect, Khamzat Chimaev, in a 180-pound catchweight bout. Originally slated to take on Daniel Rodriguez, Holland now faces a new opponent following Chimaev’s staggering weight miss which forced the UFC into reshuffling the card.

Despite stating that Usman had handled the loss well after dropping his belt to the British Edwards, Kevin Holland still believes it is in his best interest to move on from the sport as he explained at the UFC 279 media day.

“I think he has kinda got that head to him where he thought he was invincible, and I think it’s kinda hard to come back from that when you’ve been on top for so long. Kinda like Anderson Silva when he was trying to get his belt back. I just don’t really think Usman’s gonna get it back. If Leon Edwards shows up and fights the whole time like how he fought in the first and the fifth, I think he finishes Usman again.”

Kevin Holland doubts Kamaru Usman’s ability to bounce back following his KO loss

Despite reigning supreme inside the UFC’s welterweight division in his run-up to and time spent with the title, Holland doesn’t believe Usman will be able to return to his former self and that he may be better suited to leaving the fight game entirely.

“And if he does get the fuckin’ belt, I think that Chimaev will take the belt from him. I just don’t think Usman has what he used to have in him anymore. I think it’s movie time. I think it’s time for him to go get paid.” (Transcribed by MMANews)

It seems almost inevitable that Kamaru Usman will have the opportunity to try and exact revenge over Leon Edwards and reclaim the welterweight strap, and in doing so prove Kevin Holland wrong entirely.

However, it seems Usman may not have the first shot at Leon Edwards as the welterweight champion with rumours circulating that ‘Rocky’ will make his first defence in the UK against long-standing bitter rival Jorge Masvidal.

Do you agree with Kevin Holland’s comments on the former champion?

Conor McGregor has shown his respect to Nate Diaz as the Stockton-native heads into his final fight inside the UFC when he takes on Tony Ferguson later tonight in the main event of UFC 279.

The legacies of both men will forever be intertwined for the entertainment they provided during their rivalry whilst competing in the UFC. Now as it seems Diaz will fight under the promotion one final time McGregor took the opportunity to applaud his fellow competitor on what has been an illustrious career.

“Congrats Nate Diaz on making it to the end of his contractual obligations with the UFC, and as a bonafide superstar goer. An incredible feat. Fair play.

Our trilogy will happen.”

Diaz was the first man to beat Conor McGregor inside the UFC when he stunned the world by submitting the Irishmen in the 2nd round of their first matchup at UFC196. McGregor would ultimately exact his revenge when he secured a majority decision victory over his foe five months later at UFC 202. The fights themselves delivered both times, but outside of the octagon, both parties delivered even further by helping to create a massive buzz around the sport.

Nate Diaz headlines UFC 279 vs Tony Ferguson

In what has been arguably one of the most frantic fight weeks we have ever seen, Nate Diaz will now headline UFC 279 in what fans perceive as a legends matchup when he takes on fellow promotional veteran, Tony Ferguson.

Originally slated to face the undefeated prospect, Khamzat Chimaev, that original matchup went up in smoke following the Chechen fighter missing weight by a staggering 7.5 pounds after not being medically cleared to continue cutting weight. Ferguson himself was scheduled to take on fan-favorite Li Jingliang in his return to the welterweight division but following the knowledge of Chimaev’s weight miss the UFC has opted to adjust these matchups to suit.

Now in what many believe is a much-improved card, the following matchups will take place at UFC 279.

Nate Diaz vs. Tony Ferguson

Khamzat Chimaev vs. Kevin Holland

Li Jingliang vs. Daniel Rodriguez

Every other originally scheduled bout will continue as normal.

A much more fitting ending for Nate Diaz’s career inside the UFC sharing the octagon with Tony Ferguson. Just how excited are you for this new restructured main card of UFC 279?

Do you expect UFC 279 to deliver a better card following these adjustments?
