You’d think UFC fighters like Jared Gordon would get a deep discount on UFC tickets for an event they’re competing in, but as it turns out, that is far from the case.

Flash’ will step back into the Octagon this November when the promotion makes its long-awaited return to the world’s most famous arena, Madison Square Garden, for UFC 295. Using his fighter discount to snag some tickets for the event, Gordon revealed courtesy of a post by Bloody Elbow on X that he had to shell out an insane $21,869 for 17 tickets to the 30th-anniversary spectacular. That’s almost $1,300 per ticket.

UFC 295 has been a hot ticket with the event serving as the promotion’s 30th-anniversary showcase. It could also serve as the final fight of Jon Jones‘ illustrious career as he is slated to defend his UFC heavyweight world championship against the division’s general consensus GOAT, Stipe Miocic.

According to Ticketmaster.com, the lowest-priced seats for UFC 295 start at $712.90 and rise all the way to $9,448.25 for platinum seating, but some front-row spots are closing in at an astronomical $25,000. The average cost to attend UFC 295 will set you back roughly $1,818.

How much would you be willing to pay to attend UFC 295?

Aside from Jon Jones vs. Stipe Miocic, fans who snag a ticket will also be treated to a light heavyweight title fight in the co-main event as former titleholder Jiri Prochazka returns to reclaim the crown he never lost. Standing in his way will be former middleweight champ Alex Pereira who will be vying for his second UFC belt in as many divisions.

Strawweight fan favorite Mackenzie Dern will look to continue her surge toward a future title opportunity as she takes on ex-champion Jessica Andrade.

Jared Gordon will make his 14th walk to the Octagon at UFC 295 as he meets former Olympian Mark O. Madsen. ‘Flash’ has gone 1-2 with one no-contest in his last four outings. In December 2022, Gordon suffered a highly controversial unanimous decision defeat at the hands of UK fan favorite Paddy Pimblett. He returned four months later for a meeting with Bobby Green, but the bout was ruled a no-contest after an accidental clash of heads ended things early.

Paddy Pimblett is finally willing to admit that his last appearance inside the Octagon left a lot to be desired.

‘The Baddy’ stormed into the UFC in 2021 and quickly emerged as a fan favorite thanks to his high-octane style of fighting and his infectious personality. His star power continued to rise as fans became enamored with the Liverpudlian’s penchant for binge-eating after every fight, gaining and re-losing as much as 50 pounds between scraps. However, things took a turn for the worse following his fourth appearance with the promotion last December.

Paddy Pimblett was thrust into the co-main event of UFC 282 against lightweight standout Jared ‘Flash’ Gordon. After 15 grueling minutes, all signs pointed toward ‘The Baddy’ suffering his first defeat inside the Octagon. Everyone seemingly scored the bout in favor of ‘Flash’ but the only three opinions that mattered didn’t see it that way. All three judges scored the bout for Pimblett via unanimous decision, a ruling that has since been dubbed the worst decision in the history of the sport. It also earned MMA Junkie’s 2022 Robbery of the Year honors. Fans, fighters, and analysts were in shock and immediately called shenanigans on the illogical scoring.

While the decision was no fault of Paddy Pimblett’s, the scouser did no favors for himself by suggesting in his post-fight interview that it was a Fight of the Night worthy performance and a clear-cut win for him. Fans quickly turned on Pimblett after he refused to admit that he had stolen a victory and continued to double-down on his performance in subsequent interviews.

Paddy Pimblett Admits His Performance Against Jared Gordon was ‘Sh*t’

Since then, Paddy Pimblett has revisited the fight and while he still believes he won, ‘The Baddy’ recognizes that his performance was far from his best work.

“I can’t wait (to return). I’m hoping to fight before the end of the year to be honest, kick some little fart’s head in” Pimblett said in a video on his YouTube channel. “I was sh*t in my last fight, lad. It was a bad performance. I’ve said it myself, you’re only as good as your last fight and I looked sh*t. But when I come back, everyone will be sucking my arse again” (h/t MMA News).

Pimblett suffered an ankle injury during the bout that required surgery. Now back in the gym, ‘The Paddy’ hopes to fight before the end of 2023, though early 2024 seems a little more likely given the gravity of the injury. Regardless of when he makes his highly anticipated return, Pimblett seems determined to come back better than ever and regain the respect of fans and his peers.

Dana White roasts Jared Gordon for hiding concussion before Jim Miller fight: ‘Should’ve told us that six weeks ago’

Dana White Jared Gordon

Dana White has now spoken out about pulling Jared Gordon from his fight with Jim Miller after Gordon spilled the beans about a recent concussion he suffered just six weeks before the fight was scheduled to take place.

White was very unapologetic about the matter and viewed the situation as Gordon putting himself in a life-threatening situation and hiding critical information. The fight with Miller was also scheduled for just a little over a month after Gordon suffered a horrific knockout in his fight with Bobby Green back in April.

When asked if the fight cancellation was due to Gordon spilling the beans about his concussion, the UFC president responded with an affirmative. “Yeah, when you come in here on press day and you announce you had a concussion six weeks ago, and you healed yourself from the concussion: you’re done.”

“I’m not gonna let you fight,” Dana White continued. “We pulled him… He should’ve told us that six weeks ago. He should’ve shown the company and his opponent some respect and at least did that (told us) six weeks ago. You’re not a f***ing doctor. You didn’t cure yourself from a concussion.

“Not to mention…” White said. “Was he self-diagnosed? Or did he go to a doctor, and a doctor diagnosed him with a concussion? You have to be honest when you get injuries. And, of course, the minute we hear about it: no fight is worth keeping on if it’s going to risk somebodies health, safety, longevity, whatever it might be. We will pull you out in 2.5 seconds.”

Why did Dana White let Jared Gordon get scheduled to fight just six weeks after a horrific knockout?

The question that remains is simple. Why was Jared Gordon even scheduled to fight so soon after a vicious knockout anyways? The head clash with Bobby Green at UFC Vegas 71 and the ensuing strikes Gordon absorbed after already being unconscious was no doubt the cause of the concussion. Even if it wasn’t, getting knocked out cold is definitely not great for the brain.

Usually, fighters knocked out or involved in a particularly damaging fight are given a medical suspension to allow their brain and bodies to heal fully. The length of this suspension can vary, but if Gordon was scheduled to fight Jim Miller just six weeks after the knockout, it’s obvious that if he were given a suspension it must’ve been either 30 days in length. Or, no medical suspension was given at all.

The athletic commission in any given state the fights are held in would typically be the one giving the suspension, but, all blame lies with the UFC for scheduling the fight regardless.

Right now, it’s not clear what Gordon’s next move will be, and Dana White has not commented on it either. One can imagine he will be wanting to get back into the cage as soon as possible, but there’s also no telling how deep of a grudge Dana White will hold with Gordon for essentially being forced into canceling a match that should’ve never been scheduled to start with.

Do you think Dana White should be praised for canceling the Jared Gordon and Jim Miller fight?

Paddy Pimblett is officially off the market.

‘The Baddy’ has been sidelined following an ankle injury sustained during his questionable unanimous decision win over Jared ‘Flash’ Gordon in December. During his time away, Pimblett underwent surgery and has since returned to the gym, but he also used the free time from competing to wed his longtime girlfriend, Laura Gregory.

Paddy Pimblett and Gregory tied the not after more than a decade together at Peckforton Castle, a country house built in the style of a medieval castle in Cheshire, England. Pimblett’s close friend and fellow UFC fighter ‘Meatball’ Molly McCann shared videos from the ceremony on social media before ‘The Baddy’ made the announcement himself on Instagram.

“What a day from start to finish we couldn’t of asked for better weather, atmosphere or people we had around us!” Pimblett posted. “Would like to thank everyone who came Laura is finally Mrs. Pimblett now even tho we’ve been a married couple for years.”

Fans Quickly Turn on Paddy Pimblett Following Controversial Win

The former Cage Warriors champion made his UFC debut in 2021 and immediately emerged as a fan-favorite after scoring a highlight-reel-worthy knockout of Luigi Vendramini. The Baddy’ followed up that performance with back-to-back rear-naked choke submissions against Rodrigo Vargas and Jordan Leavitt. Closing out 2022, Pimblett was matched up with his toughest test yet, Jared Gordon. After 15 relatively uneventful minutes, fans unanimously agreed that Gordon had done more than enough to hand Pimblett his first loss inside the Octagon.

In a shocking twist, all three judges scored the bout in favor of Paddy Pimblett, prompting fans and fighters to dub it the worst decision in the history of mixed martial arts. Pimblett didn’t do himself any favors following the announcement, suggesting that it was a Fight of the Night worthy performance and that he practically ran away with the win. A choice that would turn a legion of fans against him in the blink of an eye.

Paddy Pimblett has offered to run it back with Jared Gordon in an attempt to quell the critics, but no official announcements have been made as ‘The Baddy’ is still looking at a lengthy layoff that could stretch into the early part of 2024.

Bobby Green demands fight pursue from UFC No Contest I need my money bro

UFC lightweight staple, Bobby Green called for the entirety of his fight pursue off the back of last night’s first round official ‘No Contest’ against Jared Gordon last night at UFC Vegas 71, claiming the promotion were trying to “slide” him on his money.

Green, a perennial lightweight contender under the banner of the UFC, featured in a main card clash against New York native, Gordon at last night’s UFC Vegas 71 card – returning to the Octagon for the first time this year.

Clashing heads with Gordon during a late first round exchange, Green capitilized on the accidental headbutt, landing a series of ground strikes of the former, appearing to first land a knockout victory via ground strikes.

However, upon review, the Nevada State Athletic Commission officials Octagon-side confirmed that the bout would be overturned to an official ‘No Contest’ – due to the clash of heads, with Green denied his first round KO win.

Bobby Green demands his fight pursue from the UFC

Speaking with media backstage following his walk to the Octagon – albeit, briefly, Green called for the UFC to pay him his fight pursue, accusing them of “sliding” him on his money.

“We’re going to let some feelings out today,” Bobby Green told assembled media following UFC Vegas 71. “F*ck this, f*ck this, and f*ck this. Like, I get it – we f*cking clashed heads. I was trying to go for an elbow, and he (Jared Gordon) kind of dipped his head and we kind of clashed, but he was still f*cking moving. He was trying to put me into a f*cking triangle. I fought the triangle sh*t off, and he was still moving fine, and then after – when I busted his ass – he was f*cked up.”

“They (the UFC) want to try to slide me on my money,” Bobby Green explained. “That’s what I’m mad about. I need my money, bro. I need my money.”

Bobby Green and Jared Gordon fought to a no contest at UFC Vegas 71 after an accidental clash of heads led to what initially looked like a first-round knockout.

Bobby Green came out with his signature style, keeping his lands low and pushing the pace early, but Gordon had some success counter-striking. Things appeared to be trending toward an early finish for the fight as both men were swinging heavy and landing clean. With 30 seconds left in the opening round, Green lunged in looking to throw a left, but instead, he accidentally rammed his head into Gordon’s. Immediately feeling the effects, ‘Flash’ crashed to the canvas allowing Green to unleash some brutal ground and pound that rendered Gordon unconscious.

Following the contest, referee Keith Peterson along with the instant replay officials reviewed the footage and determined that the fight-ending sequence was a direct result of the clash of heads. As a result, the bout was officially ruled a no-contest with just 25 seconds to go in the opening round.

Official Result: Bobby Green vs. Jared Gordon was ruled a no-contest after an accidental headbutt at 4:35 of Round 1
