Jason "Mayhem" Miller

Former UFC fighter Jason “Mayhem” Miller is in trouble with the law once again, as he was arrested for a domestic violence felony in a Los Angeles suburb earlier this morning.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department took Miller into custody after an unidentified female called in to request assistance after Miller allegedly assaulted her in her San Fernando Valley home. When officers arrived they found the victim with multiple visible bruises and quickly attempted to take Miller into custody.

After briefly resisting officers and also getting tasered, Miller was taken away from the scene and taken to jail after a hospital stay to treat his injuries from the struggle.

Miller has had a variety of legal issues since leaving the MMA scene. Before his alleged domestic violence incident, he was given a yearlong prison sentence in 2019 on charges of vandalism and violating a protective order. In 2017, he plead guilty to domestic violence and was given a four-year delayed sentence along with three years of probation.

Miller rose to fame after being the star of the hit reality television show “Bully Beatdown”, in which Miller confronts bullies in society and pairs them up against accomplished fighters and athletes in the ring. He was in-and-out of the UFC, most recently competing for the promotion in 2012.

Following his release after UFC 146, he signed a one-fight contract with Venator FC and suffered a submission loss to Mattia Schiavolin.

Miller is also one of the biggest personalities to have ever coached The Ultimate Fighter, coaching a season alongside former middleweight champion Michael Bisping. He would go on to lose to Bisping in the season finale by third-round knockout.

Miller’s outside of MMA lifestyle continues to be polarizing, and we should learn more information regarding his most recent legal issue sooner rather than later.

The sport of mixed martial arts (MMA) has always proven to be a fertile breeding ground for interesting, bizarre, oddball, and off-the-wall characters.

In this article, we’ll celebrate that fact by taking a closer look at 10 of the craziest, one-of-a-kind fighters ever to have set foot in the cage.

Charles ‘Krazy Horse’ Bennett

MMA veteran Charles Bennett undoubtedly owns one of the most fitting nicknames in MMA – ‘Krazy Horse.’

Outside of the cage, Bennett has a long criminal record, being arrested multiple times for everything from possessing and selling drugs to robbery and aggravated assault, but it’s his outrageous antics in the cage and ring that he’s best known for.

For instance, in ‘King Of The Cage,’ he once picked up an opponent, gave the ‘peace’ sign to a nearby camera, then proceeded to swing his opponent in the air and slam him into the cage – a unique move later named, ‘the helicopter slam.’

Meanwhile, in an infamous backstage incident during PRIDE Shockwave 2005, Bennett got into a fight with Cristiano Marcello and was choked out on camera, only to regain consciousness and then claim afterward that he KO’d Wanderlei Silva.

The latter incident wasn’t caught on tape and has been hotly disputed ever since, and years later Bennett joked that the still fuming Brazilian would never be able to get to him, because, “I’m a n**ger’ and I run real fast.”

Former UFC veteran Jason “Mayhem” Miller has had his fair share of run-ins with the law over the last few years.

Despite all of his issues, however, it was recently revealed that Miller will avoid jail time. Instead he pleaded guilty to domestic violence in Orange County, Calif., being charged with five counts of felony charges, and agreeing to be released into a sobriety treatment facility.

Check out the details via TMZ below:

Court docs show Mayhem was charged with five counts of felony domestic violence in Sept. — along with one felony count of vandalizing a girlfriend’s car and house. He was also hit with misdemeanors for damaging two girlfriends’ cell phones to prevent them from calling cops. Per the terms of his deal, Mayhem will be released to a sobriety treatment program and must remain clean for the entire term of his probation.

Miller hasn’t competed since May 2016 when he was submitted by Mattia Schiavolin at Venator FC3 in Milan, Italy. Prior to that, he hadn’t competed since 2012, losing back-to-back fights against Michael Bisping and C.B Dolloway to end his UFC tenure.

His most notable victories came over former UFC welterweight champion Robbie Lawler, although that was back in 2006 at an Icon Sport even, and Tim Kennedy, which took place in 2007 at an HDNet Fights event.

In the history of sports there’s never been a more outspoken frontman than UFC President Dana White, which has proven to be both a good and a bad thing.

White has helped the sport gain a lot of attention over the years, and there’s been no more prominent advocate and defender of the sport than the UFC president, but his notoriously fiery temper has also proven to be counterproductive at times.

There’s no clearer example of this than on the occasions that White has crossed a line few promoters would dare to by taking aim at his own fighters, and in this article we’ll look at 10 of the most jaw-dropping instances in which some of the biggest and most successful stars ever to set foot in the Octagon have been publicly put on blast by the UFC head honcho.

Nate Diaz

When multiple-time UFC ‘Fight Night’ and ‘UFC On FOX’ headliner Nate Diaz began complaining in 2014 that he was being underpaid, White opted to publicly roast his fighter.

“Lowest rated FOX show ever. Lowest rated FOX show ever,” White stated after Diaz headlined UFC On FOX 13 in late 2014. “His numbers, he doesn’t pull the numbers in. Nick (Diaz) is a needle mover. Nick moves the needle. [Nate] doesn’t pull good numbers.

“Listen, if Nate Diaz was the guy, we’d work it out in a minute. If you move the needle, those are the guys that make the big money. You realize he’s like 1-3 in his last three fights? He’s 1-3, he’s nowhere near a title fight, he’s never won a title, and he doesn’t move the needle.”

Diaz proceeded to make White eat his words by taking on a late notice fight with Conor McGregor in 2016 that did over 1.3 million buys, with the rematch raking in a record-breaking 1.65 million buys.

Those fights made Diaz one of the UFC’s biggest stars, but when he returned to the negotiating table for his next fight, White stubbornly stuck to his guns and again looked to shoot him down by questioning his achievements.

”Listen, at the end of the day, what is Diaz worth without Conor McGregor?” White mused. “I don’t know. The kid isn’t in a position for pay-per-view or any of that type of [stuff].”
