Recently, longtime UFC commentator Joe Rogan hosted UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya on his podcast, “The Joe Rogan Experience.”

During the show, Rogan asked Adesanya for his thoughts on the BMF Title and the UFC 244 main event fight between Jorge Masvidal and Nate Diaz. Masvidal outclassed Diaz for three rounds before the cageside physician called a stop to the action due to cuts.

“I feel like Masvidal is world championship caliber,” Rogan said. “100%”

Adesanya agreed, and praised the Miami native for reinventing himself after his string of split decision losses.

“100%,” Adesanya said. “I’ve been a fan of that guy since way back. Everyone’s just finding out now, Street Jesus. I’m not a hispter like ‘oh, I knew him before he was cool man,’ I don’t want to be that guy, but I like his resurrection.

“I like how he rebranded himself. You have to do that. I see it in movies, I see actors do it, entertainment, you rebrand, new package, and then boom.”

Rogan went on to sing Masvidal’s praises, noting he “beat the f*ck” out of Nate Diaz at UFC 244.

“He’s a different person now,” Rogan said. “Now he’s what he could have been. He is potential realized. He’s at 100% right now… He beat the f**k out of Diaz in that first round.”

What do you think about Rogan and Adesanya’s comments on Masvidal?

The beef between UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones and middleweight champion Israel Adesanya continues to slowly build.

The two champions have made it clear that they do not like one another, and with “Stylebender’s” prediction of a 2021 showdown inside Raiders stadium, we could very well be in for a slow build to what will eventually be a massive superfight between the two champions.

Jones recently took a shot at a clip from an interview Adesanya did this week, mocking the 185-pound champ for drawing energy from one of his favorite anime shows. Jones commented, “Man I can’t wait to “eventually” slap this dude, 30 years old claiming to draw energy his favorite cartoon. 2021 please hurry up and get here.”

Jones also took some shots at Adesanya’s recent interview with Joe Rogan on his podcast. Throughout the podcast, Adesanya made several jokes in reference to Jones’ out-of-competition issues. Jones responded by Tweeting the following (which has since been deleted).

“Saw a video on Worldstar just now and was like wft? It was literally like Joe was talking to himself, the kid has no depth”.

Jones followed up with this:

Never seen a person carry a conversation by themselves like that before, impressive Joe Rogan.”

Do you think Jones and Adesanya will eventually fight each other?

There was a lot of controversy and mixed reviews on whether or not United States President Donald Trump was cheered or booed at UFC 244 last week.

Trump was in attendance to watch the Baddest Mother F*cker Championship fight between Jorge Masvidal and Nate Diaz. According to UFC commentator Joe Rogan on his podcast, “The Joe Rogan Experience,” Rogan said the crowd “booed the f*ck” out of President Trump.

“They booed the f*ck out of him at the UFC,” Rogan said. “Listen to daddy. I took my f*cking headphones off just to listen, and it was ‘boo!’ Yeah, man. 18,000 people going ‘boo!’”

Rogan’s guest brought up Trump’s son, Donald Trump Jr., suggesting that there were people chanting “USA” for the President. However, Rogan was very clear that, while there were some cheers, the majority of the reaction for the President was negative.

“Maybe four people behind him were chanting USA,” Rogan said.
“Is that what Donald Jr. said? Listen, if that was your dad, you’d probably say that too. Look, they booed the f*ck out of him. I’m sure some people clapped. I’m sure. But if you had to bet your money on it, like what was the greater percentage?

“Was it boos or claps? It was f*cking boos. Dude, I took my headphones off, I was right there. I could’ve hit him [Trump] with a rock. He was right over there. It was ‘boo!’”

The longtime UFC commentator noted that fans love to boo, and that it’s fun for people to be negative in large crowds at sporting events.

“For sure some people cheered,” Rogan said. “For sure. For sure some people waved at him, saw him wave at people. Look, some people are psyched to see him. If I was in the crowd and I was hammered, I’d be like, ‘What’s up bro?!’ I’d yell at him, I’d say hi, I’d wave at him.

“But, the reaction, when he walked in, was a lot of boos. But that’s just f*cking gonna happen, man. He’s a controversial character. Anywhere he goes he’s gonna get – it’s fun to boo. It’s fun to go ‘f*ck you!’ It’s fun.”

What do you make of Rogan’s report that Trump was badly booed at UFC 244?

UFC 244 on Saturday served up a lot of knockouts but the biggest one of the night arguably came in the main card opener between Kevin Lee and Gregor Gillespie.

Making his return to lightweight, Lee was in desperate need of a win especially as he was riding a two-fight losing streak. He was facing no easy task either as Gillespie was a decorated wrestler with an undefeated record.

However, Lee managed to make a statement as he put Gillespie to sleep with a vicious head kick early in the first round.

The reaction of the crowd and announcers Joe Rogan and Jon Anik said it all. However, the duo also had a very animated response to the knockout.

You can watch it below:

As for Lee, he is now back in the win column as he looks to make another run at the lightweight title. Considering this was his first full fight training under Firas Zahabi at Tristar Gym, the future looks bright for “The Motown Phenom.”

What did you think of Lee’s knockout? Did you react the same way?

Things didn’t go according to plan for Robert Whittaker at UFC 243 over the weekend. Whittaker put his undisputed UFC middleweight title up for grabs against Israel Adesanya’s interim title.

The pair headlined the biggest fight in Australian history, and the highest-attended fight in UFC history. However, it was clearly Adesanya’s night, who outclassed Whittaker on the feet, knocking him out in the second round to put a bow on a masterful performance. It marked Whittaker’s first defeat at 185 pounds and the beginning of Adesanya’s reign as champion.

Taking to Instagram, longtime UFC commentator Joe Rogan praised Whittaker for his handling of the loss. Rogan called Whittaker a “master class in humility and composure.” Here’s what he had to say.

“This is a master class in humility and composure. @robwhittakermma put it all on the line and came up short, but his response to the loss shows what kind of a man he is. Still absolutely one of the best fighters on earth, and handled the loss as well as anyone ever has. RESPECT!”

As for what’s next for the champion, Adesanya is likely to make his first title defense against Paulo Costa, who was in attendance for the show. A possible superfight with light heavyweight champion Jon Jones has also been discussed as a possibility.

What did you make of Whittaker’s handling of his loss to Adesanya this past weekend?
