The 25-year-old striker Andrade was able to out-point the MMA veteran Lineker with lethal strikes. The official result is Fabricio Andrade defeats John Lineker via TKO (Corner Stoppage) at 5:00 of Round 4. Fabricio Andrade has been crowned as the new ONE Bantamweight World Champion, capturing the vacant throne.

‘Wonder Boy’ Fabricio Andrade is well known for his striking power. The 25-year-old Brazilian has won all but one of his matches in ONE by way of KO/TKO. Andrade trains out of Tiger Muay Thai in Thailand and is feared for his precision and power in MMA.

The 23-year-old Muay Thai prodigy Tawanchai PK.Saenchai earned the ONE Featherweight Muay Thai crown last year in a five-round war against the highly experienced Petchmorakot Petchyindee. At ONE Fight Night 7 hosted in Bangkok, Thailand, Tawanchai earned the first defense of his ONE Championship world title with authority.

The Thai-born striker only needed forty-nine seconds to put away his Russian opponent, Jamal Yusupov. Using a lightning-fast leg kick to end the match. The official result is Tawanchai PK.Saenchai defeats Jamal Yusupov via KO (Leg Kick) at 0:49 of Round 1, defends ONE Featherweight Muay Thai World Title.

Tawanchai is famed for his striking power and speed. The 23-year-old earned a shot at the world title last year with a string of knockout wins. He is dangerous with each limb having won bouts using his left cross, head kick, and leg kick.

John Lineker (35-9) dethroned bantamweight champion Bibiano Fernandes (24-5) in the co-main event of “ONE Championship: Lights Out” on Friday at Singapore Indoor Stadium.

Lineker has had an up and down career arch and has put a stamp on an impressive resume by winning the bantamweight title in Singapore today.

In the first round, Fernandes was able to drop Lineker on the counter with a left hook but once they hit the ground, Lineker reversed position and rode out the rest of the round in top position while landing some solid ground-and-pound.

Round 2 started with Lineker ripping the body, but Fernandes landed a great takedown. Lineker then made his way back up and eventually found a perfect left hook, which knocked out Fernandes and earned Lineker the belt.

In what has been a crazy career up to this point for Lineker, this belt might be one of his defining moments.

He was awarded a $50,000 bonus for his highlight reel KO.

John Lineker is a world champion.

In the co-main event of ONE Lights Out in Singapore, Lineker was finally fighting Bibiano Fernandes in a highly-anticipated bantamweight title fight. The two were booked earlier this year but Lineker tested positive for COVID-19 which led the fight to be delayed.

Right off the bat, the champ in Fernandes got an early takedown and held the former UFC fighter down. He held him there for nearly two minutes but Lineker was able to get up. Once that happened, the challenger landed a solid combo that appeared to rock Fernandes but as he was stumbled, he landed a beautiful counter that dropped Lineker down.

After he got dropped, Lineker was able to scramble on top and finished the last-minute on top of Fernandes, and landed some ground and pound.

The second round began with both men still being stunned from the last round. Just over a minute into the first round, Bibiano Fernandes shot for another takedown and got it but after a minute of control, John Lineker was able to get back to his feet. Once they were on their feet, Lineker started landing heavy shots to the body and head. After landing some heavy shots, the challenger landed a massive check hook that knocked Fernandes out to become the new champ.

With the KO win, John Lineker is now 35-9 and is 4-0 in ONE Championship. The Brazilian left the UFC after a decision loss to Cory Sandhagen and signed with the Singapore-based promotion. In the UFC, Lineker went 12-4 with notable wins over Rob Font, Marlon Vera, and Ian McCall.

As for Bibiano Fernandes, he defended the belt seven times over two title reigns. In his career, he holds notable wins over Kevin Belingon four times, and Joe Warren on the regional scene while losing to Urijah Faber in his second pro fight.
