Khabib Nurmagomedov’s manager is appearing to have what’s best for his client in mind when it comes to his next fight. It’s pretty clear if the UFC wants to see their lightweight champion fight again. But big money will have to be put on the line.

The speculation about who he’d fight next has gone wild. Could Khabib be fighting Conor McGregor for the second time? How about a fight with former UFC middleweight and welterweight champ Georges St-Pierre? Might he change things up with a boxing bout with Floyd Mayweather?

Khabib’s manager, Ali Abdelaziz, has stated in a recent interview they will fight anyone but it needs to be for the biggest money bout possible.

“Ben Askren, Woodley, none of these guys can touch Khabib,” Abdelaziz told TMZ Sports (H/T to MMAFighting). “Especially if they’re scared to get tired and these guys, they get tired.”

Abdelaziz made it known that he’s worried about getting big money from the UFC that is around the range of $50M to $100M.

“Now, I’m not even worried about Tyron or Ben Askren, I’m worrying about somebody bringing $50M to $100M to the table and none of these guys can bring $200,000 to the table.”

The reason for this is due to the payday that they got for UFC 229 that saw Khabib submit McGregor. McGregor made $3M in base pay. He was rumored to have pulled in upwards of $50M once getting a percentage of the PPV sales. On the flip side, Khabib got a salary of $2M and will have also received a piece of the PPV money.

“Listen, the guy we just fought said he made $50M,” Abdelaziz said. “I think, as a global superstar, Khabib bypass him. You have a guy meeting with Putin and Erdo?an and the other guy selling liquor on the corner store.”

Khabib Nurmagomedov Looking To Be Paid

For Khabib’s manager, he thinks that Khabib’s job is to get as much money as possible not figure out what’s his next fight.

“At the end of the day, maybe a whole bunch of money gets on the table, maybe the rematch. I don’t know. Maybe we’ll give a rematch to the guy we just killed. . . Whatever’s gonna bring Khabib money. This is now my job. It’s not Khabib’s job. Khabib created legacy, 11 years, 27 fights. Right now, money talks, bulls**t walks. That’s it.”

According to his manager, the UFC champ is rich and could retire right now if he wanted to do so. Thus, they will wait it out until the right fight is presented.

“Khabib can retire now. He’s rich. . . But if somebody’s gonna put big paycheck on the table and we can get it done, I don’t care about number one contender, number ten contender. Khabib was number one contender for five years! Conor jumped him, Eddie jumped him, a lot of people jumped him. Right now, it’s about the paycheck.”

Khabib Nurmagomedov’s manager is claiming to have some big and exciting news on the way involving the UFC lightweight champion. Although his manager claims to have some good news on the way, the status of the fighter is up in the air.

The reason for that is the expectation is that Khabib could be facing a long suspension by the NSAC (Nevada State Athletic Commission) due to his recent actions. Obviously, a rematch between the UFC lightweight champ and Conor McGregor would be a huge fight. That may have to wait.

Last week, the NSAC held a hearing regarding this incident. At the meeting, it was revealed that they would extend the temporary suspensions given to both McGregor and Nurmagomedov.

McGregor and Khabib must face their punishment when they find out actual sanctions from the NSAC later this year. The commission will meet on December 10th where they will decide the fates of the two UFC stars.

Khabib’s manager Ali Abdelaziz took to Twitter on Sunday where he teased that they’ve got some exciting news on the way.

”We will blow your mind,” he wrote on Twitter. “Big news coming @TeamKhabib.”

What that big news remains to be unseen. However, as a result of this teaser, fight fans have speculated about various things. Could Khabib be fighting McGregor for the second time? How about a fight with former UFC middleweight and welterweight champ Georges St-Pierre? Might change things up with a boxing bout with Floyd Mayweather?

Oh, how fun speculating on such a topic can be so much fun. Time will tell what this teaser actually means.

Michael Bisping Makes Interesting Claim About Khabib Boxing Floyd Mayweather

Michael Bisping has sounded off on the potential of this fight and how he thinks it might go.

Michael Bisping makes an interesting claim about the potential boxing showdown between UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov and Floyd Mayweather. It seems like each day there is a little more traction for making this fight a reality thanks in large part due to the boxing legend keeping it in the headlines.

Potential Fight

Although the UFC would have to sign off on it, the early betting odds have already been released in case this fight is booked. Now, fighters are giving their take on this fight and that now includes the UFC analyst and former middleweight champion.

Michael Bisping Makes Interesting Claim

Bisping recently talked about it on his Believe You Me podcast. According to him, he doesn’t think that Mayweather wouldn’t be able to stop Khabib like he did Conor McGregor last August.

“I swear to God, Khabib would go the distance with Mayweather,” opined Bisping (H/T to MMAFighting). “He’d go the distance with Mayweather. I’m not saying Khabib is a better boxer than McGregor, he’s not a better striker, he’s not as elusive, he’s not as slick – but he’s got a f**king chin and he’s got cardio for days. And Mayweather, at his age, he was never a knockout guy even though he did have some knockouts. He knocked out England’s very own Ricky Hatton in devastating fashion, but I don’t see it.”

Reality Of It

The former UFC champ also brought up how this fight really comes down to cardio and how long the fight lasts rather than striking skills.

“He couldn’t put McGregor down and that’s what Khabib’s saying – you couldn’t put McGregor down, I put McGregor down – but he put McGregor down through fatigue and that was his game plan. McGregor was very, very tired and he started eating shots, and in the end he couldn’t even fight back because he was so exhausted and kind of beat up, so the referee stepped in.”

Cardio Not An Issue

Bisping doesn’t see Khabib getting tired in a boxing bout and it would go all 12 rounds.

“That wouldn’t happen against Khabib. Mayweather would probably embarrass him and light him up and pick him apart all night long, but Khabib would probably go 12 rounds. Conor wasn’t far away from going 12 rounds.”

Money

Money drives the world right? Well, if that’s the case then there is a lot of it to be made if this bout should happen.

“Mayweather isn’t bothered. . . Khabib, on the flip side, is like, ‘I kind of fancy that,’ because he’s a fighter, he’s a tough motherf**ker,” concluded Bisping. “And he’s not particularly motivated by the money but everybody’s motivated a little bit by potentially $40-$50 million.”

No Confusion

Although it would be big money, Khabib is not the huge pay-per-view draw that McGregor is and thus, this fight involving Khabib wouldn’t get a massive PPV buyrate.

“It wouldn’t be a McGregor type payday, it wouldn’t do those type of numbers, but it’s still gonna be a big payday. As of right now, both guys have said they want to do it. That’s the biggest thing.”

How It Started

The talk about this potential fight all came once Mayweather made some comments about Khabib starting a brawl following his fight against Conor McGregor at the UFC 229 pay-per-view event.

Floyd Mayweather Doubles Down

During a recent interview with TMZ Sports, Mayweather that they will fight and any issues that Khabib has on his side, it will be taken care of. Mayweather also stated that this fight won’t take place under the UFC banner inside of the Octagon but rather in a boxing ring.

“Oh, we fighting! I’m my own boss,” Floyd said in Bev Hills. “So, I can’t say what’s going on on Khabib’s end. But, on my end, we can make it happen. He called me out. So, he gotta come to my world. So, Khabib … you got my leftovers. Whoopy-do.”

Big Bucks

Mayweather isn’t going to do this fight for cheap but rather expects a 9-figure payday as he wants to make $100 million more than he did for his fight against the former UFC lightweight and featherweight champion.
